You rub your eyes as you walk out of the bathroom, seeing a small figure lying on your bed as you approach it. The little person that you love so dearly had snuck into your room and now she's asleep. You chuckle lightly as you stand there and just look at her.

The way the moonlight shines into the room onto the bed and across the floor, reflecting off the walls gives you an almost eerie feeling. You know it's getting late seeing as the moon is high up in the sky. Your room isn't that large, it's just a little bigger than your baby girl's room.

"Ah..." You sigh as you sit on the edge of the bed and make sure that you don't move the child and wake her, "You know..."

Your voice stays low, barely above a whisper as you speak to her. Your beautiful daughter. She looks just like her father, the hair, the smile, the nose, and those damned eyes. You reach over to her dark hair and brush your fingers through it, pushing a lock of wavy hair behind her ear so you can see her little face better.

"I wish you knew your father... You would love him. He's just... On a mission right now..." He'd been on a mission for the past few years and there was nothing you could do to bring him back. Price keeps you updated on his status but he never tells you if he's coming home or where he is. He doesn't even allow you to have his phone number just in case someone takes him hostage and needs leverage against him.

"You would love him, sweetie. You look just like him." You keep whispering to the three year old and pull the blankets up over her body, feeling a chill in the room as your eyes start to well up, filling with tears. As you try to push back the memory of the love of your life, you can only hope that he's okay. That he's alive and that if something were to happen the rest of the team would tell you before anyone else.

The boys of the taskforce know that the two of you made this beautiful baby, but they knew that he didn't know about her. They knew that you wanted to tell him but you couldn't so they didn't want to spoil that for you. Every now and then Soap, being Ghost's best friend, would come and visit. Bringing small gifts for Grace. Sometimes he would stay over and play with her while you got some sleep for the first time in days.

Your tears finally fall from your eyes and you reach up to wipe them away with a sniffle. Standing up, you make your way to the window to look out at the city below. Wandering if he's somewhere out there talking to that moon above him, talking to you through it and wishing he was home with you.

"I want you back so bad..." You whisper, then look down to your feet with a sniffle and a shake of your head. You hear a small voice come from behind you and you wipe your eyes with both of your hands to make sure all the tears and hopefully the streaks from them are gone.

"M...Mommy...?" Your child looks up at you with her bright blue eyes.

"Yeah, sweetheart?" You respond, moving to the side of the bed and kneeling down.

"Awre yew otay?"

"Yes..." You smile softly and shift to sit on the bed beside her, holding out your arms for her. "What's got you awake baby, hm?"

"I dawt dat yew wewe cwyin." She whispers, crawling across to you and wrapping her arms around her. Her tiny head lays on your chest, listening to your strong heartbeat. You only hold her lightly but securely.

A soft sigh leaves both of your bodies and you giggle a bit. "Honey, you need to go back to sleep..."

"I knows mommy." Her tiny eyes look up into yours and she blinks a few times as she snuggles into your arms even more. "I wuv yew."

"I love you more, sweetie." You kiss your sweet child's forehead and run a delicate hand through her hair to try to help her sleep quicker. "I love you so much more than you could imagine..."
