A few days passed after Steele and D's date and their first kiss. D was currently at work while Steele was with his gang to find out who was after the Black Widows, when Steele received a text from D's brother, Zach. Steele was confused why Zach would text him.
Zach: hey Steele, sorry to text you out of the blue and if you're busy, go ahead and finish what you're doing and meet me at the basketball court whenever you're free.
Steele read the text and was confused but replied back to his text saying he'll be there in 20 minutes. He didn't get a reply back. Steele looked at his gang and told them that something came up and he had to go. Ace looked at Steele with a nod and told him to go ahead.
"It's alright dude, go ahead. We got this."
Steele smiled at his friends and left the lair, hopping onto his motorcycle and drove off to the basketball court. A million thoughts were running through his head, why did Zach text him? Did something happen to D? This worried Steele to no end.
He drove until he reached the basketball court and spotted Zach standing underneath one of the basketball hoops in the shade. Steele quickly parked his motorcycle and rushed over to Zach. "Is D okay?!" he asked Zach, worry lacing his tone.
Zach looked up at Steele confused for a second before letting out a chuckle. "Yeah she's alright, why did you think something happened to her?" Zach asked him.
"Yeah, especially when you texted me like that out of the blue!" Steele exclaimed. He was really worried about D, and Zach could see it clearly on his face. He liked the fact that Steele was worried about D, especially when he texted Steele out of the blue, to actually talk about his little sister D.
"She's fine and sorry about that. But she's actually why I wanted to talk to you, privately. I know when I first met you with my sister, I could tell you love my sister, and you were protective about her. But, I am her big brother and I want what's best for her. But seeing you worried for my sister when I texted you, gave me the proof I needed to know that you love my sister and you would do anything for her." Zach explained to Steele.
Steele breathed a sigh of relief, he was relieved that's all Zach wanted to talk about and also relieved that D was in fact alright.
"Yeah, I really love her. Ever since she told me what she went through, I felt so bad for her. She didn't deserve to go through that pain, nor did you or Amy. Alec shouldn't have cared solely about her body, he should've loved her, but he didn't. But I love D, not just for her body, but for who she is as a person. I love her personality and I loved getting to know her. She's an amazing person." Steele said as he began listing the many things he loves about D to Zach.
Zach saw in Steele's eyes and could tell by the way Steele talked about D, told him everything he knew that Steele was in fact the right guy for D. He knew that his sister Amy was listening in on the conversation from the shadows, and he knew that Amy also approved of Steele. Zach and Amy care a lot for their little sister D, that they would do something like this. The two of them wished they did this with Alec, but they didn't. That wasn't a mistake they were willing to make again.
"You really love her don't you?" Amy asked Steele, as she walked out of the shadows.
Steele looked over at Amy with a smile, "yeah, I really do. She's everything to me, she means a lot to me."
Amy looked at her brother Zach before looking at Steele with a smile, "then we approve of you dating our little sister. You're the first guy we ever met who's loved D, so you understand why Zach asked you out here?"
Steele nodded his head. "When we met Alec, we didn't do this like we did with you, he charmed us. He made us think that he was the perfect guy for D. We didn't want to make that same mistake again." Zach explained to Steele.
"I understand, I'd do the same thing with Dawn and Callum. I only want the best for my little sister and brother just like you two only want the best for D." Steele said.
"We're glad you understand where we're coming from. By the way, what were you doing when I texted you?" Zach asked Steele. He was curious when he saw Steele pull up, concerned, so now he was curious about what Steele was doing.
Steele looked at Amy and Zach before looking around to see if no one was watching or listening. He motioned the two of them to come closer. Zach and Amy moved closer to Steele. "Chloe told Dalton that some gang is after the Black Widows, which you know D is in, so my gang and I were trying to find out who's after them." Steele explained.
Zach and Amy's eyes grew wide hearing this information. Someone's after their little sister and her friends. Steele could see the worry begin to grow in their eyes. "Don't worry, my gang is tracking them right now, we'll make sure nothing happens, and if anyone takes D, they'll have to deal with me and you two." Steele reassured the two.
Amy and Zach looked at Steele with a nod, trusting him. They knew Steele would never let anything happen to D, not on purpose or accident. They knew he would do anything to keep her safe, even if she could protect herself. "Let us know when you find anything." Zach asked Steele.
"I'll update you two on everything, I promise."
Steele left the basketball court, heading to his motorcycle. He got on his motorcycle and drove off to his gang to help them try to find the gang that's hunting down the Black Widows. He will not let anyone hurt D or her gang, not if he's got anything to do about it.
