EMMA
Emma ran through the streets of New York in a huge rush to get to her hotel and grab her bags so she could be able to catch her flight, which was in an hour. Emma knew the possibilities of making it were very low, but she had to at least try.
As soon as she entered the hotel entrance, she grabbed her bags that were already waiting for her in the lobby, and the driver was already parked outside waiting for her. She quickly put everything inside the trunk and climbed over to the front of the car, eager to start the engine and drive off.
"Everything okay, Miss Stewart?" Asked the driver before he closed the door.
"Yes everything's perfect. We should really leave now."
The driver nodded and closed her door and made his way over to his seat. Emma laid her head against the back of the seat and released a breath she didn't know she was holding in, but all she could do now was pray she would make it in time to her flight.
Emma had been in New York for the past 5 months shooting a new project. She was cast shortly after meeting Cillian, and she took the offer without thinking it. She was bored now that she had wrapped up Game of Thrones, and a new project would be perfect to help her get distracted.
Cillian. She hadn't thought about him in a long time. She was a bit sad at first, that he never reached out, but again, she kind of blew him off. Plus, he doesn't have Emma's phone number, nor her address, and even if he did, she hadn't been in London for the past couple of months. Emma had more information on him than he did on her, so again, it wasn't his fault, and Emma knew that.
A few months into moving temporarily and filming here, she had completely forgotten about their encounter that day. She didn't have any hard feelings, but they were in no way connected, so why should he be clouding her thoughts?
Emma had been working with a great cast as well, that always kept her occupied even when they weren't working. She was co-starring with Matthew McConaughey for a 'city girl-country boy' love story, and working with him made Emma's days, everyday. He was such a fun person to be with, and everyday working seemed like summer camp to both of them. (a/n- let's pretend Matthew isn't married in real life.)
The car ride to the airport was shorter than Emma had expected, but still had 10 minutes until the gates closed, so she quickly said goodbye to the driver and ran through security to be able to make it in time.
As soon as she arrived at the gate, she dropped her bags on the floor and put her hand over her chest, feeling the fast thumps of her heartbeat ringing against her ears just as she saw Matthew start to get in line for boarding. Matthew heard the thump of Emma's bags and looked in her direction, laughing as soon as he saw Emma's exhausted face while still trying to catch her breath.
