I call Charlie's house number that I find in Bella's cell phone and wait with Taylor sitting on my bed, it rings a few times before he answers sounding out of breath and I wonder why he would be out of breath.

"Bella, is something wrong?" He asks worried and wait for him to catch his breath.

"It's not an emergency Dad, but it is important. I'm sorry for calling so late, but are you okay? You sounded pretty winded there and I thought you had a phone in your bedroom." I say winking at Taylor.

"Oh. Um... yeah, I'm fine. I fell asleep downstairs and the downstairs phone wasn't ringing and I ran all the way up to my room to answer the phone." He explains and I know he's lying his ass off.

"You know, I'm the chief of police's daughter and I know when someone is lying through their teeth, so if you were in the middle of something I can call back when you're done." I say and there is dead silence on the other end and I hear a woman start whispering and I chuckle.

"Sorry, Dad.  Please tell your lady friend I'm also sorry. I just wanted to tell you that I know it's short notice, but I've changed my mind about coming and I'm sorry for getting your hopes up, but I promise to come up there every break I have." I say and I grab Taylor's hand when she goes to get up.

"This seems sudden. Did something happen?" He asks and I hear a door shut and I know he giving me his undivided attention.

"Yes. Something wonderful." I say and I look to Taylor and I smile at her and I see she's blushing and wiping her cheeks.

"Okay, that's vague." He says and I chuckle.

"Are you sitting down?" I ask and I hear him grunt into the phone before saying, "Yes."

"Good. I came out to Mom that I'm a lesbian and she took me out to celebrate, we went to get tattoos and I met a gorgeous girl my age who did my tattoo and we hit it off and she's now my girlfriend and what I feel for her is too special to leave, so I decided I want to explore this relationship with her and I can't do that properly if I move up there."

"Oh, thank god. I thought you were going to tell me you were pregnant and that's why you were staying. I would've brought my gun down there and given a guy a real talking too." He says and I laugh and shake my head.

"My dad thought you were a guy and got me pregnant." I tell Taylor and she giggles shaking her head.

"Bella you are a true Swan and we follow our hearts and we love fiercely. I'm glad you finally came out to us.  You know we always knew honey and if she makes you happy then you should definitely stay and explore this relationship, just take your time before becoming too serious because when we love we love forever like true Swan's." He says and I'm reminded by the books and movies and I know what he's talking about but I'm not a true Swan.

"Thanks, Dad. So...who's your lady friend?" I ask chuckling and he laughs and I wonder if he will tell me because I had always thought he was having an affair with Sue Clearwater.

"It's new and you don't know her." He says avoiding my question.

"I didn't ask that. I meant for you to tell me her name?"

"No, you asked who my lady friend was. Not her name." He says with humor and I smirk.

"Semantics dad, what's her name?" I ask with humor and he sighs.

"How did this conversation get turned around about my love life?" He asks and I smirk.

"Yeah, so I got you to admit that she's a love interest and not a booty call." I say and I hear him clearing his throat and I laugh.
