chapter 6

previously: "well guys, im gonna head home now" i say. "bye y/n, have a good night!" they tell me. i say the same thing and head to the front door. i put my shoes on and leave.

i walk down the sidewalk, my arms crossed as im shivering a little. i get to my house and pull out my keys to unlock my front door. i get inside and head up to my room to grab clothes for a shower. after my shower, i do my normal stuff and go back to my bedroom. i sit down on my bed and my phone goes off. i look to see who it is and its my mom calling me. i pick up the phone and answer

you- hey mom!
mom- hey sweetie, how's it going?
you- really good actually. i thought it was gonna take a while to get used to all this but i'm really liking it. there's still a lot of stuff i need for this house. like tv's, couches, and some other things. also i've met some new friends which are my neighbors and they're actually youtubers too!
mom- oh honey that's great! i'm glad you've gotten used to this so fast. and i'm glad you've met new friends too! if you don't mind, could we come stay for a few days?
you- of course you guys can! but you guys might have to get a hotel because i still need to go buy groceries and beds for the other rooms. but the groceries should be done by the time you all get here
mom- great! we don't mind getting a hotel. and then we'll leave tomorrow around 10 am to get there.
you- alright sounds good. well i'm gonna go to bed now. i love you mom!
mom- i love you too sweetie, sleep well
you- you too mom

i smile and end the call. i yawn and check the time to which it's almost midnight now. i put my phone on charge, set an alarm for 9 am, and shut my light off. i got a long day so i need some sleep. i lay back down and get under the covers, falling asleep almost instantly.

-next morning-

my alarm blares in my ears causing me to wake up. it's my 9 am alarm so i really need to get up. i have a long day ahead of me. i sit up and stretch before getting out of bed. i go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready for the day. once i'm done with that, i find an outfit to wear and grab my phone. i walk down stairs to grab my keys and put my shoes on. i walk out and lock the door behind me, heading to my car. i get in and pull out to head to the grocery store. i get to the store and start my shopping, finding snacks and food to make meals. basically all the necessities that i need. once i'm done with that, i check out and head back home.
i spend the next 30 mins putting everything up. when i'm done, i get a knock on my door. assuming it's probably sam, i open the door. and it's actually colby. "oh! hey colby! did you need something?" i ask and move aside so he can come in. once he walks in i shut the door behind him. "sorry, i don't have a couch yet so you'll have to sit at the table" i tell him. "that's okay y/n don't worry about it. anyways, i came over to ask you something" he sits down at the table. "yeah? what is it?" i sit next to him, a little nervous at what he's going to say next. "you know how we go to haunted places and all that and explore? well me and sam wanted to know if you'd like to tag along on a trip next week?" he asks. my jaw slightly drops, this is like my dream come true. "really? are you like being serious?" i ask, still not believing it. he smiles at my reaction. "yes y/n, im being serious" he says. i sit there in shock because one of my dreams is to be in a famous persons youtube video. "i would love to! where and when are we going?" i ask. "good! and well, i'm sure you've heard of this place but we're going to the conjuring house next week" he explains. my jaw drops, 'THE CONJURING HOUSE?!?!'. "oh wow, i've been wanting to go there for a while. but for the next few days im gonna be busy because some of my family are coming to visit me" i smile. "that's fine! have fun with your family y/n. and thank you for saying yes!" and with that, he gives me a hug and leaves. i sit there, still not really believing that this is going to happen. i mean, im excited and all, but the conjuring house is a serious place and i just hope nothing happens.

i get back up to tidy the kitchen space up again and throw stuff away. i go back to my phone to see if my mom has texted me. she has and it's just her saying they'll be here in about an hour. i smile and head up to my room to fix myself up. once i'm done, i tidy up my room and go back downstairs. i still have a little bit of time so i walk over to the boxes that are still sitting in the living room. i open some up and decorate the tv stand, even though there's no tv. i take out my wii and sit it down since i can't set it up. i put the cords in one drawer, games and wii controllers in another drawer. that seems to take me a bit to finish up the tv stand as there's a knock on my door. i stand back up and open the door. "mom, dad!" i exclaim, pulling them into a hug. they greet me back and i let them inside, shutting the door behind them. "how was the drive?" i ask, sitting at the table. "it wasn't bad, a little messy but at least we made it" my mom says. i smile, "are you guys hungry? would you like me to make you something? or do you want to go out to eat?" i ask. "let's go out to eat, id like to see what its like around here" my dad says. "alright then, let me go fix myself up and ill be back down" i smile and run up stairs to the bathroom. i fix myself up a little and go back downstairs. "okay lets go then. i'll drive" i put my shoes on and we leave. we get in my car and leave the house. "i don't really know my way around here either so i'm not sure where good places are." i say and look back at the road. "here, ill look to see places near us" my mom says. i give her a thumbs up and continue driving. we drive around and find an applebees. "is applebees fine?" i ask as i turn into the parking lot. "that sounds fine to us" my dad says and my mom nods. i smile and park, shutting off my car. we get out and head inside.

we wait for a table and finally they take us to one. but to my surprise, all of the boys are here too. they don't seem to notice as we sit down. i decide to walk up to their table and knock on it. they all look up and smile. "y/n! what are you doing here?" sam asks happily. "oh i'm just here with my mom and dad since they decided to visit." i smile as i point to my parents who smile and wave, the boys doing the same back. "well, enjoy your time together! my family is visiting so i'm probably gonna be busy for the next few days" i smile. "thanks! and don't worry about it y/n, we understand" jake says and they all nod. i smile again and give them a thumbs up before going back to my table. i look at my parents with a smile. "so, are those your new friends?" my dad asks. "uh yeah! i guess you could say so. sam, the blonde one, came up to my first and introduced himself. and they've been talking to me ever since i moved here. they're very sweet people and ive met a lot of their friends too!" i explain. "oh dear im so proud of you! they sound like amazing people. like you said on the phone, they're youtubers?" my mom asks. "yeah they are. they let me join in one of their new videos that's gonna be posted soon. i just don't wanna say anything out loud so they don't get bombarded." i smile. "ah i understand. well that sounds awesome. you seem to be doing very good on your own" my mom and dad smile. "i think so too!" i say as the waiter comes up and asks us what we want to drink and if we're ready to order. we order and wait for him to come back with drinks and food. while waiting, im just having some small convo's with my mom and dad. "we can only stay until tomorrow night as we both have work the next day. during another break or something, we'll definitely come back down to visit" my dad says. "that's alright! you guys are welcome any time as long as i'm not busy" i smile. finally, the waiter comes and brings our food and drinks. i thank the waiter and we start eating.

while i'm eating, i feel eyes on me. i lift my head up to see who it is and make straight eye contact with sam. i notice his face turn red before he looks away. colby seems to notice and nudges sam with a smirk. i smile to myself and go back to eating my food, that interaction on my mind.

and that concludes chapter 6!! i'm sorry if this one is boring, but i just needed it so the story isn't choppy and it makes sense. you gotta have plot on stories like these so people will like it
