Thunderstorm

"I dump your ass,"

El said and went back to Max. Then both girls runs to catch the bus.

El and Max spend the rest of the day having fun. Then they went to El's house. When they entered they didn’t see Hooper anywhere. Then El saw a note taped on the wall. She took it and read.

El, i am going to the station. I won't be home tonight. Call the Wheeler boy for tonight.

El smiles as she knew that how much she like to stay with Mike. But the smile faded away as she remember that she just dumped him today. So she can't call him to come.

"What happened El? " Max asks.
"Hooper won't coming home tonight. " El said.
"Great we can have a girl's night," Max said.
"We can?" El asks.
"Yes we can," Max said," Wait, let me call my parents to inform them."

As Max went to call her parents, El sits on the chair sad. She really likes to spend time with Mike and this was a perfect moment to do that. But because of the dumping she can't do that. She quickly make a fake smile as she saw Max is coming back.

Later at the night, they were reading Magazines.

"You found The Karate kid," Max said," Do you think that he is a good kisser? "
"Ummm, i don’t know Max." El said," The only person i ever kissed is my boyfriend.....
"You mean Ex-boyfriend." Max correct her.
"Huh! Ex-boyfriend?" El asks in confusion.
"Yes,you dumped him today," Max said," Now he is your ex-boyfriend till he crawl back to you."

El sat there shocked. She read some stories and watch some movies where a boyfriend and a girlfriend broke up and become ex. They never get togather and at the end they lose each other. Mike is her Ex now. Will she lose him too?

"El? Earth to El" Max asks,"What are you thinking?"
"Nothing, nothing," El said,"Let's read the magazines,"

Few minutes later they called it a night and fall asleep.

El jumps up after hearing a loud noise of thunder. She noticed a massive thunderstorm has started. Another loud crush of thunder and she was under the blanket. She hate thunder. The sound of thunder remind her of gun shots. Another thunder and she was shaking like a leaf. Another thunder and she screams in fear.

"El, el what's wrong?" Max a runs in and asks her.
"Thu...thu...thunder " All she could say before getting more scared after another thunder.
"You scared of thunder!" Max said.

She tried to comfort El but failed. The storm was getting heavier, the thunder was getting louder. El was getting more and more scared. No matter how much Max try she can't comfort her. Because this time El needs her safe and happy place. The place where she feels most safe and happy. And that place was in Mike's arms.
Suddenly through the sound of storm, Max hears a loud banging on door. It's like someone is beating the door so that they can hear it. But who could be in this time? She didn’t wanted to leave El like this but she went to open the door anyway. She was surprised to see Mike standing wearing a raincoat.

"Mike! What are you doing here? " she asks.
"I am here to see El," Mike said while entering.
"How did you...why...." Max couldn’t finish.
"El hates thunderstorms, " Mike said while taking off the raincoat.

Then suddenly another thunder and El's scream.
Mike waste no time and run towards her room. He saw El is shaking in fear under the blanket. He quickly runs to her.

"El, El it's Mike, " He said.

As soon as El hears Mike's voice, she throw away the blanket and jumps into Mike's arms. She hugs him tight and he hugs her back.Tears were floating down from El's eyes.

"There there, no need to be afraid," Mike said i
softly." It's okay, i am here now."
"Please don’t leave me, " El cried,"I need you."
"I am not leaving you El," Mike said, "Never ever."

Max was watching them. She realised how much El needs Mike and how much Mike loves El. No one told Mike about El's situation, still he knew it. He didn’t care about the storm and he came here only to comfort his girlfriend.Both shares a special relation that  Max never had. She realised  that she shouldn’t interfere their relationship. There relationship is different than Lucas and her. So she slowly walks away to the other room.

"I am sorry for dumping you Mike, " El whispers," I didn’t meant that."
"I know you didn’t mean that El," Mike said,"I am sorry for lying."
"Will you take me back?" El asks.
"Of course," Mike said as he kisses at the top of her head.

El smiles and buried her face in Mike's chest
