"El, i have to go," Mike said softly.
"Nooooooo," El said in a sleepy voice.
"Please El, let me go, " Mike said.
"No i don’t want to let you go," El said.

They were currently laying on El's bed in the basement with El wrapping her arms around Mike's torso tidely. She had a nightmare last night so Mike came down to comfort her. Then spend the rest of the night in bed. They just slept,didn’t do anything else. But now it's morning and Mike has to get up.

"El, hunny, i have to go," Mike said,"I need to go to school. But i will come to see you with a plate of eggos before i leave."
"Eggos?" El looks at him and he nods.

El let Mike go and he went upstairs. El went to Basement's bathroom and brushed her teeth. Then she combs her shoulder long hair. She came out and get changed. Then went to the couch and sat there. Few minutes later Mike came with a plate of Eggos. They ate together. Then Mike gets ready leave.

"By El, i will come back at 3:30 pm," Mike said before kissing her forehead and then he left.

El spent rest of the day laying on the bed, watching TV and reading magazines.

"Mrs, Wheeler ," El said.
"Yes El? ," Karen asks.
"Has Mike came yet?" El asks.
"No Sweetie, he might be in one of his friend's home, " Karen said.
"Oh!," El said before going back to the basement.

She looks at the clock. It's 4: 45. Mike was supposed to came home at 3:30. She decided to call the Byers.

"Hello Mrs. Byers,it's El," El said.
"Hello Sweety, and call me Joyce," Joyce said.
"Is Mike in your house? " El asks
"No Sweety, " Joyce said,"He did came but then he left with Will. Maybe they went to Lucas or Dustin's house."
"Oh," El said in a down tone.
"El, are you okay? " Joyce asks.
"Yeah i am okay,it’s just..." El said,"Mike said he will return at 3:30, but he didn’t. "
"Maybe he went to his friends, maybe he didn’t planned about it before," Joyce said.
"But then he should have called me, " El said.
"Boys can be like that sometimes, " Joyce said,"Forget about small things. Don’t worry, i am sure he is fine."

It's now 7:40 and still no sign of Mike. El is now panicking. Despite the talk with Joyce she can't stop worrying. She already called all of Mike's friends but all she get was a voicemail saying they aren’t home right now. Which caused her more worry.

What if something bad happened to him?
What if a demorgorgon found him?
What if bad people found him?
What if lab people found him?
What if he had an accident?

Suddenly she hears a familiar voice is shouting her name.

"EL"

Then she hears footsteps rushing towards the basement door. El quickly gets up and run towards the door. The door slammed open and Mike entered. He had gone with his friends in arcade. Then he completely forgot to call El to inform her. When he remembered, he wasted no time and rushed to home.

El throw herself into him, wrapping her arms around his body. Mike hold El tidely who is now kissing all parts of his face.

"You are such a mouthbreather, " El sobs,"You have any idea how worried i was?
"I am sorry El, i am so sorry," Mike said,"I should have called you."
"Yes you should have," El said,"I thought something bad happened to you."
"Hey, i am here now," Mike said while wiping the tears that were rolling down from her eyes.
"You don’t have to worry anymore," He said as he plants kisses all over her face.

Then spend their time in each other's arms before Karen called them for dinner.
