Jake's pov

I decided to let Nareum work on odd days, while she'll have to hang around with me on tuesdays and thursdays.

"Mrs Hong said she's on the way here"
Jungwon notified me.

A few minutes passed and the door opened without a knock. She's starting to get used to this place too fast.

"You'll be seeing me on tuesdays and thursdays every week. Tell that to your team, so they know how to distribute work among themselves"
I told Nareum.

"To see you? They'll flock around me like reporters. Give me a better reason"
Her forehead creased.

"That you're working on an individual project which is confidential"
I quickly came up with an excuse.

"Fine. And what am I here for?"
She walked over to the couch and sat down.

"It's my turn to tell you about myself. Instead of talking, I wrote it all down here. Read it and if you have anything to ask, go ahead"
I walked over and passed her a thin file.

Inside, I prepared a paper with a list of things about myself. Well, Mr Yang prepared it for me.

"You have to memorise this by the end of the three months. My father is a nosy person"
I sat down beside her.

"All of this to memorise when I'm gonna leave in the end anyway. What if I threaten you with this information?"
She held up the file.

"You don't have the guts to"
I put on a straight face.

"Just because you're rich doesn't mean you can stop me"
She flipped through the pages.

"If it isn't me then authorities will"
I replied.

I watched her read through the list.

"You talk gibberish when you're sleepy?"
Nareum laughed.

"What?"
I leaned in and read the line she was pointing at.

"Mr Yang"
I turned around and looked at his unserious expression.

"You don't look like the type who's ever sleepy. Workaholic, aren't you?"
She asked.

"You think so?"
I knew she was completely wrong

"Mhm?"
Nareum raised her eyebrows.

"You're wrong. I hate work. My dad left me to look after this company. I never wanted this position"
I explained.

"Sucks to be you"
She remarked.

"You think it's so easy being a ceo"
My tone, irritated.

"I'm sure you don't need the pity from a mere employee"
She closed back the file.

I was going to respond, but Mr Yang interrupted.

"Sir, you have a meeting now. It's an urgent one"
He said.

"With?"
I turned my head.

He mouthed the name to me and I knew I had to rush now.

"Sorry, I thought my schedule was clear today. Keep the file, and go back to your office for now"
I stood up and packed up a few of my things.

"Oh okay"
She stood up and the three of us left the room, taking the lift down.

She stepped out and Mr Yang told me more about the meeting on the way to the room. It was a last minute thing.

I was feeling a little bored and was complaining to Mr Yang about it.
