This is the story about Elle Edwards and her weird little life, trying to manage her way through last year of high school and the high expectations and emotional abuse of her parents.Elle was the youngest of her family of five. Her two older siblings have already moved out of the family home leaving Elle all alone with her mom and dad.
The Edwards family was far from sane and highly dysfunctional. Their mom, Samantha, was emotionally unstable and their dad, Kenneth, well there was nothing particularly wrong with him, he just wasn't there. He's a workaholic. And everyone else would be too if they had a wife like Samantha.
As for Elle, she is 17 years old shy school girl with anxiety and symptoms of a developing eating disorder. And as devastating as it sounds you could expect nothing less. With her troublesome childhood and trauma it's no surprise now that she's a teen she is suffering and having problems with her mental health.
But she hides it well, so you have to give her some credit. And the fact that she is actually really strong and capable young woman despite (and because) of her past. Only her sister and two friends from school really knows about her struggles. I mean her parents kind of know something but they are just too stupid to care.
This is what's going on in the life of Elle Edwards. And trust me it's about to get much more complicated and messy. Especially after you throw a handsome exchange student from South Korea into the mix.

Author's note:
• This book is not written in third person pov. I only used it for the prologue. Also all the chapters are going to be much, much longer than this, so don't worry.
• This prologue is just a little review of what is going on and what could be expected.
• I know the first few chapters are lacking dialogue, but that's gonna change too when you read further. This book basically starts after chapter 5.
• Please give this book a chance. It gets better by the chapter, I promise.
• In this book there are going to be mentions of mental illness, anxiety, eating disorders, and panic attacks. If any of those topics are triggering for you, this might not be the best story for you. There won't be separate warnings in the chapters. Read at your own risk.
• If you or someone you know is struggling with something listed above, please seek help. There is support available, and reaching out can make a difference in your journey toward healing. And remember, you are beautiful and strong and you deserve to be healthy and happy!+ If there are stupid and obvious mistakes, feel free to point them out! I try to read each chapter through carefully before publishing, but sometimes it's hard to spot typos and grammatical errors.
+ I try to update as often as I possibly can, but sometimes life just gets in the way. Please be patient with me. I promise I will finish this book. Thank you!
