Elle's Point of View:

I hate alarms, even if I woke up to the sound of birds singing or ocean waves it wouldn't make a difference. Waking up always makes me grumpy. After snoozing for like 30 minutes I had no choice but to get up. So I rose with the sun, like literally, it was like 5 am.

And after a few quick stretches and a hot shower I was awake enough to start getting ready for the day.
Today I didn't bother with makeup because it was Monday and I personally think Mondays should be illegal.

Black crop top, black wide leg jeans and a hoodie on top was my go-to outfit for school and that's what I wore today too. And for the record black is my happy colour. After brushing my teeth I made my way quietly downstairs meanwhile throwing my shoulder length chocolate brown hair up in a messy bun.

I was being extremely cautious not to wake my parents up. I mean I was intrigued by the thought of waking my mom up before 6 am just to ruin her day but to be completely honest I didn't want to see her in the morning because that would ruin my day.

Coming to the kitchen I opened the fridge just to decide I wasn't going to eat anything. Closing the fridge I see my dad sitting beside the counter drinking his coffee and I almost had a stroke. How didn't I see him before?

I didn't mind seeing my father. The mornings were actually the only few times we ever got to see each other anyway. He works so much, more and more everyday. He's your typical middle aged workaholic man who works all day and after coming home he either goes to his office to continue working or just throws himself on the couch and starts watching sports expecting his wife and kids to do everything around the house. That's my dad. He doesn't necessarily do it on purpose, I just happen to know that he's tired and unhappy.

I poured myself some coffee and sat next to my dad. We didn't even talk just enjoyed the silence in peace. Sipping my coffee carefully so I wouldn't burn myself yet quickly so I can be on my way. I like my coffee black like my soul. See, happy thoughts first thing in the morning!

After finishing I put my mug in the sink and leave without even saying goodbye to my dad. I put on my black Converse sneakers and leather jacket, grab my backpack and head off to the bus stop.

My school wasn't that far away and I didn't actually have to leave this early to be on time. But I wanted to. And one and the biggest reason was so I wouldn't have to see my mom in the mornings. She usually wakes up around 7 or 8 so I made sure to be out to door beforehand.

Also the early morning bus wasn't as full of people as the later ones so I could be more at ease and wouldn't have to worry about getting panic attacks in a bus full of students.

When I arrived to school I still had 45 minutes until my first class starts so I decided to sit on a bench just outside the main entrance and continue reading my current Wattpad story. Just another enemies to lovers fantasy novel.

After I don't even know how long I hear running steps coming my way. Before I can lift my head up a sudden burst of sound echoes through the air. My name being called following some colourful expressions I'd rather not repeat myself.

I filt my gaze from my phone to the direction of the voice and see my best friend leaping towards me.

"Bad boy roommate or my alpha mate?" Delilah asked, sitting right next to me.

"Huh?" I'm confused.

"Your book that you're obviously reading" She replied with a oh-so-innocent smile on her face.

Shit. I didn't know se knew I read Wattpad stories. I mean it's not the kind of thing to tell not even to your best friend considering the books I read are quite questionable sometimes. And you all know what I mean.
