Recap:
"I'd love to talk to the others. I haven't been to Dallas in almost a year now."
3rd Person Pov.
In the dining hall the Knights poured in for their dinner.
"Hey guys and gals. Guess who's on the line with me."
"Ooo. Is it Arabell?"
"No. It must be Mirabell."
"Well isn't that a pity I'm neither of them." Esther said.
"No way."
"Estherrrrr." A loud screech came. "Oh my God. I missed you so much. When will you come to Dallas. Oo. Will you stay with us it will be super fun trust me. By the way how are you? Where are you headed? No no way are you coming to Dallas." The boy paused. "Eeeeeee. You're coming right." He started jumping around.
"Geez. Chill out Marcus." Debora snapped.
"Ora it's ok. Hey knights how are you'll?"
Responses came in 'ok', 'good', 'bad', 'absolutely horrible'.
"Ok. I am genuinely curious why your day was 'absolutely horrible'."
The Knights spoke to their sister after a really long time. School life was discussed. Tales were told. Memories remembered. Questions were raised as to when she would come back.
"What's with the ruckus?. Isn't there a rule when the phone rings on the table it's to be answered on speaker." Zanudu's voice came.
"Hi Aunt"
"Aunt. Esther's on the line."
"Wait Esther. Which Esther?" Said a voice behind Zanudu putting down the vessel.
"Zach, you're such a dummy. How many Esther's do you know?" Xenia questioned.
"Esther. Love. How have you been?" Zanudu questioned. "It's been a while since you have been here."
"I'm ok. Congratulations. Chole's getting engaged. You must be a proud mama." Esther replied.
Shock erupted in the hall. Questions were thrown left right and centre.
"All of you calm down"
"Guys. Chill out."
The chaos continued. Zanudu went to the kitchen got 2 pans and banged them. The banging calmed the hall down. Slowly apologies were muttered.
"Now to answer your questions. Yes I have 5 girls. Not just 4. My eldest daughter's name is Chloe. Chloe Fernandez. She is getting engaged to Matthew D'Souza. I will be going to Jackson in Mississippi after dinner I'll be going for a week."
"So that's why you told us you won't be be here for a week."
Zanudu just hummed. "Come on start eating. The food will get cold."
The Knights sat down and began eating. Debora handed Zanudu the phone so she could speak to Esther and she sat in her seat and started eating like the rest. Zanudu sat in an empty chair in the hall.
"Esther. I heard from Chloe you booked the hotel for the public engagement and for a get together of the CEO's. You also arranged the suit and dress and their rings. After confirming what they wanted."
Esther cut her off. "Aunt sorry to cut you off. But. Chloe is my sister. She helped me a lot during the initial stages when I was starting my company. This is nothing compared to what I plan to do for her wedding. Besides you know I always take care the wedding expenses regarding any of the Knights."
Zanudu and Esther spoke for a while.
Time skip
"Bye Aunt."
"See you in a week."
'Goodbyes' and 'see you soons' were said.
"Don't worry I'll take care of them. Enjoy yourself." Macanzie assured Zanudu. "Text me when you reach."
"Save me some cake."
The group turned to look at the one who said it and burst into laughter.
