Chapter 2: War has Begun!

    It has been about a month later since Ally had started her freshman year and she was loving it! Everything was going great! Until a certain day...

     Ally had woken up as normal and got up like any other day. She had extra time before the bus got there though so Ally decided to turn on the tv. The news channel was on and it had shared the biggest announcement of her life.
     Her eyes widened as the tv remote dropped right out of her hand. WW3 had begun. Russia and China made an alliance and declared war on the United States of America. She couldn't believe her eyes and before she knew it she heard the bus coming down the road from outside.
     She hurried and picked up the tv remote off the floor to turn off the tv and then she ran out the door to make it on the bus.
     Her and Reed were both silent for a couple of minutes until Ally finally broke the silence.

"So I assume you saw the news too?" (Ally)

"About WW3?" (Reed)

"Yeah." (Ally)

"Then yeah I saw it." (Reed)

"What do you think is going to happen?" (Ally)

"I'm really not sure Ally, we'll just have to wait and see." (Reed)

"Yeah, I guess you're right." (Ally)

     School that day was very depressing. I assumed that everyone just didn't want to talk about it, but we all knew that was a lie. The truth is that we were scared to. War. A real war. None of us have lived through a real war.
     We didn't know what to do or what was going to happen. We all knew that Russia and China allianced together was a powerful force and they aren't scared to bomb us at any given opportunity. The thought of it was already scary enough, but what if they actually did? What would happen then? How many people would lose their lives? War is unexpected and we need to expect the unexpected.
