Jonathan
I paid no attention to the footsteps approaching towards the classroom. I didn't dare to look up at anybody, as the students came into the classroom.
I look over at Riely, who was drawing what seemed to be Lucus in her notebook.
I don't know why, but I got my pencil and taped her with it. Psst Riely, I whispered, trying to get her attention.
Riely turned around to face me. Oh hey Johnathan, what's up? She greeted.
Can I talk to you in private after school? I asked.
Oh, sorry Johnny, but after school, I have to go straight home.
My dad will freak out if I don't make it home on time. She said as she turned to look back at her notebook.
Riely please, it's very urgent. I really need to talk with you. I begged her. Riely turned around to meet my pleading eyes.
Riely just smiled at me and said a soft ok in response.
I smiled after hearing her say that.
That's when Harper, our english teacher, came in to start the class.
I turned around and looked over at Farkle, who was taking notes in his notebook.
He looked up and smiled at me, which caused me to smile back at him.
I look away as I begin to feel my frenzy getting worse.
My heart was pounding like crazy which made absolutely no sense to me.
I just looked at him one time, one damn time, and I was already feeling the unexplainable rush of emotions.
And of course, Harper noticed my reaction.
Everything ok, Johnathan? She asked suspiciously.
Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired. I reassured her, my voice icily
Ok, keep your eyes on your own work, ok?
Yes, Harper. I said as I looked down at my textbook.
Even though I wasn't looking at Farkle directly, I still had his gorgeous smile stuck in my mind.
After school, Riely and I walk the entire block down to her house. It was a very quiet walk, a little awkward too. You know Johnathan, Riely began to say, cutting off the awkward silence. There's a very special place in my room where Maya and I talk to each other personally.
Great, take me there then. I really need to get this off my chest. I replied eagerly.
Ok, but let's have dinner first, and then we'll talk. She said before opening the door.
I walked in after Riely as I closed the door behind me.
Hey sweetie, how was school? Riely's mom asked Riely.
It was great, mom. I brought a friend over for dinner. If that's ok. She said as she looked over at me.
Hi, I'm Johnathan, Johnathan Rosenfeld.
I said as I shook her mom's hand.
I'm Topanga Mattews, but you can, Mrs Matthew's. She smiled.
And yes, sweetheart, your friend is invited whenever he comes over. She told Riely, which caused Riely to smile.
Johnathan, please, make yourself at home she said before walking over to the kitchen.
Thanks! I replied as I made my way to the table with Riely.
