Couples pulled each other close together, swaying together to the music intimately as they held each other tenderly. You and Simon stood there awkwardly for a moment, looking around at everyone else. It seemed like something straight out of some cliché romance movie. Simon's eyes darted to your gaze in a nervous manner, his lips pressed into a thin line. You returned the same facial expression, your fists clenching into your palms. You noticed Simon closing his eyes, taking a deep breath. His eyes fluttered open, and he hand gently reached out for you.
"May I?" He whispered, his gaze genuine and full of admiration. Admiration for you.
You felt your breath catch in your throat. You gently placed your hand into his palm. You nodded your head. Simon gently took your hand and pulled you close to him by your waist. You kept your eyes locked on his. You gently placed your opposite hand on his shoulder, your hand tightening on his. You felt your feet drifting across the floor on their own. Simon kept you flush against him, his body moving along with yours as you stepped across the dance floor. You swayed with him in his arms, his hand gently making its way up your lower back. You felt him push your lower body towards him, his hand keeping your hips against his. You couldn't get over the way he was looking at you. His eyes were relaxed and half-lidded. They were filled with a passion you had never seen from him before, especially not one you'd ever seen when he looked at you. You let both of your hands rest around his neck, and both of Simon's arms fell around your waist, his hands resting on the lumbar curvature of your back.
The moment felt magical. Straight out of a fairytale.
"You look rather radiant." He whispered.
You smiled, Simon's eyes lighting up when he saw your grin. "I almost forgot how to speak when I saw you at the door." He added.
"And you look quite charming." You rubbed your thumbs against the back of his neck softly.
His face turned a bright red shade, his smile turning into the goofy one you adored on him so much. If it wasn't obvious before, it was very obvious to you both now how much you adored each other. Simon's smile faded into a nervous one as the slow music went on, and you noticed.
"(Y/n), I have something I should tell you." He mumbled.
Your gaze flickered to his, "Yes?"
The slow music came to a stop, and fast and upbeat music began to blast once again. Everyone seemed to get a sort of mental whiplash, snapping everyone back to a harsh reality. Simon grumbled to himself, sighing in defeat.
"I'll tell you later."

The night went on for a long time. You had a lot of fun with Simon. You both danced to the fast songs, and you decided to explore more of the venue after you got bored and tired of dancing. Simon helped you with a mini photoshoot in one of the halls, letting you pose in various and silly ways. He didn't mind being your personal photographer, he'd do anything to take a look at you longer than usual.
You snuck a few funny selfies of yourself as you held Simon's phone. You were taking pictures for him like he did for you.
"What are you laughing about over there?" He broke one of his poses, somewhat afraid that you were laughing at him.
You snickered, walking over to him. You shouted him a part of his camera roll filled with selfies of you at unflattering angles and unserious expressions on your face. You startled cackling out loud, and Simon playfully smacked you in the shoulder as he rolled his eyes.
The event eventually came to an end and slowed down for the night. Groups of people were leaving in waves, and the halls began to empty as the night progressed.
