Epine could not hold back Qibli. This one saw Vulture heading towards Winter, dagger in his paw. He took off and the Sandwing Queen was quick to follow, worried. She could hear guards behind her and them bailing. She saw the tiny filler dragonet in the clouds, while Winter, Qibli, and an unknown Silkwing fought with the bandits. There was a flash and the lifeless bodies of Icebergs falling into the oasis below. Qibli dove into the water to retrieve it. She could very clearly hear Winter screaming in pain. She landed near the water as Qibli came out, with misfortune in her arms. Winter started crying even more. Qibli put a wing on her back and she leaned into the embrace. And just as Thorn was about to say something, Iceberg regained consciousness.

- Mom!?

Winter squealed with joy and grabbed her child in her arms.

She had a radiant smile as she grabbed her child, well, their child. At this thought, Qibli felt immense joy, then sadness. A tear fell, then another as he thought. "She will never forgive me...". He came out of his thoughts and admired his son. It is immaculate white with golden scales. Its crest is ice blue and it has a spur of sand wings surrounded by peaks of ice wings. The little one started to look at him and Winter turned to him. And his gaze was filled with sadness, hatred but deep down with love. He gave her a smile, but it lacked his usual joy. Winter placed a paw on his cheek and did the unexpected.

I didn't want to do this, I hate him for what he did to us, but my heart told me to comfort him like he did with me in the past. I instinctively leaned towards him and gave him a quick hug. He looks at me with surprise and hope. I use my paw that was on her cheek to wipe away her tears. He takes it from me as I do so, his look grateful.
