"What you seek is seeking you." - Rumi

Enjoy <3

-~*~-

As she descends down the marble stairs, she instantly felt nauseous. The bridge swayed violently under her legs. The misty air blew faint kisses against her bare arms, and the water beneath, danced in a continuous motion.

One wrong move and another life of an innocent will come to a merciless end.

It's almost as if her dirt covered legs are moving on her own and she has no control whatsoever.

Whilst the abstruse being subconsciously moved across the bridge, the waves gave her an ominous feeling. As if in the next second, they will grow like tall winter trees, and engulf the already collapsing bridge.

Her shaky feet slip, and she lands roughly on her behind. Not intending to roll over, she yet again slips and hangs on the dangling end of the bridge rope. - That is when I notice it; the rope was nicked...and slightly coming apart with every tug coming from the girls body. -

She gasps

Her hand reaches out in front of her falling body.

Trying to grasp anything to keep herself from plummeting down to her pathetic death.

...

I jolt awake repeating;

"It was just a dream"....

"It isn't real"...

Over and over and over again until my aching body comes to the sudden realisation that it is in reality.

Making my way to the lonely kitchen downstairs, I walk out of my room to meet the cold tile of a corridor. Turning a sharp left I quietly descend down the mahogany staircase and travel to my destination. I pour myself a full glass of water whilst going over my troubled thoughts.

It felt so real, I could hear her faint heartbeat and I felt her every breath. But I find it oddly strange that the scenario reeked of deja vu. Its almost like I re-lived a moment in my dreams. I need answers, and that is final.

"What seems to be causing trouble milady?, is there anyway I could help?" Catherine asks with a hint of worry in her voice

"No, Cath, everything is alright, i'm just not tired. That all." I answer

"Alright, if you say so, i'll leave you to yourself."

"Thank-you." I muttered, more to myself than her.

As my butt warmed the chair, I grabbed my laptop and googled 'Supernatural Sightings'.

Heres a place to start.

Could the dream be something else?

I shook the thought out of my mind. I needed to focus.

I scrolled down to look at the presented sites and clicked on one which caught my attention.

'Man sent to a psychiatric hospital claims to have seen a supernatural being..'

Underneath the massive chunk of text was a 3 minute video of him explaining himself to the police.

"I swear i'm n-not crazy p-please just listen to me! I was trail-walking and it started to hail heavily, so I ducked under the roof of a seemingly-deserted tavern... A-and look I-I never meant any harm, I was just wanting a warm coffee and to maybe wait for the storm to pass. There I stood outside the small inn - Knocking repeatedly for someone to open the goddamn door!  And just when I was about to sit and wait under the door canopy... the bloody door opened! Yeah! just like that! I took a step inside.. I thought it was an invitation, y'know. Then the door shut behind me and the lights flickered on. The place looked like a regular bar, nothing about it that stands out.. B-but then this creature.. i-it jumped out of the shadows he had-"

he?

"Find anything interesting?" I twirled around at the feminine voice, stopped the video and trying to stay cool, not minding the fact that there was an intruder in my house and she could most possibly be armed.

"Not particularly", I lied "What are you doing in my house this late? What do want from me? I can tell you that I have nothing that will spark your interest"

"Oh I know you do. In fact I'm looking at it right now."

"What do you want from me?" I snapped at her. No one could possibly know who I am. I have made sure that any traces of supernatural powers, which radiated from me, were covered up as much as possible.

"Jeez, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.. listen up punk, I'll give you a choice, come with me and make it easy for both of us, or be hauled over my shoulder and returned to master in a potato sack"

I don't like many people, but this chick just managed to make it up on top of my 'Hate list'.

Without thinking I grabbed a table lamp and threw it at her with as much force as I could gather. She, of course, flawlessly dodged it reaching for a sword on two display pegs aiming the sword in my direction. At this moment, I was so thankful that I was taught how to disarm my opponent in training. Grabbing the blunt part of the sword I twisted it out of her grip and stood up behind her, sword to neck and whispered:

"Tell your master that if he wants me, he can get me himself. I am no one to be fooled around with."

"Be that as it may, Renéa. Enrique knows where you live and all your weaknesses. It is just in your nature to make everything ever more difficult"

With that I let her go into the night and she scurried off.

Frustrated, I ran a hand through my hair. So many questions and answers! After the sudden change of events, there's now a 99% chance that I am not going back to sleep.

-------

The night passed without any further uninvited interruptions, and in the end I somehow managed to close my eyes for 10 minutes after which I jolted awake, clearly paranoid. So many questions wandering in my mind, making me restless in the process, not knowing the answers. Grabbing my duffel bag, I made my way over to the garage and unlocked my car to then drive over to HQ.

Trees loomed over the driveway  as I made my way over the rocky road
