Sorry because I honestly almost abandoned not only this story but my wattpad account itself but thanks for reminding me that there are still people who are willing to read my crap.
At the end of the last chapter, I said that I was officially a college student. I got to engrossed with my studies that my promise to post the part two in a "few days" became more than a year.
Sorry for that but I hope you guys understand. And me, being too engrossed in my studies, got me to become a dean's lister in our college. Clap for me. lol.
So, here goes the story...

"Ai Ren, wake up." Yi Fan gently shook her shoulders.
She was sleeping like a corpse. She was stiff facing towards the ceiling with both hands flat on her stomach. He chukled at the sight then continued to wake her up.
She was in deep slumber when she felt someone poking her left cheek. She turned to her left and opened her eyes and was caught off guard when she found her face inches away from Yi Fan's.
Shock was evident at Ai Ren's face while Yi Fan chuckled finding her reaction amusing. He smiled at her and sat at the edge of the bed from his crouching position.
"Good morning." He greeted.
She gave him a close mouthed smile. Afraid of him smelling her morning breath, she took the pillow and hugged it up to her mouth.
"Good morning." She replied, her voice muffled by the pillow.
"Get ready for school while I cook then let's leave together." He said and she just nodded then her left.
They made their way to the school riding Yi Fan's motorcycle.
Both of them are university scholars at one of the most pestigious universities in the country. They were now a college student, twenty years old and is in their second year taking up Bachelor in Science in Business Administration with different majors. Ai Ren is a major in Marketing Management while Yi Fan is a major in Entrepeneuship.
"I'll pick you up at your last subject before lunch, okay?" Yi Fan asked.
"It's not like I can say 'no'" She rolled her eyes.
"You got that right!" He hooked his arm around her shoulders. "I'll see you later, then." Then again, he kissed her in her temple.
She was frozen at the spot where he left her. For her, Yi Fan has been quite weird recently and since yesterday he's been really touchy. She's too shy to ask if his gestures were just plain friendly or if they meant something.
She was brought back from her trance when she heard the warning bell signalling that there were only five minutes before first period starts so she hurriedly went to her classroom.
He was eight and she was seven when they first met.
It was four days before her birthday when she was brought to the orphanage after recovering from the car crash three weeks ago which took her parents' life.
He was three when his mother brought him to the orphanage saying she was too young and incapable of raising him. His mother got pregnant at fifteen. His grandparents weren't that well-off and his father didn't acknowledge him as his child.
She was still in a state of shock when she was admitted to the orphanage. She couldn't talk for a while until her eight birthday came and Yi Fan came to her and wanted to beome her friend.
"Happy Birthday." He said as he sat beside her and handed her something.
They were in the orphanage's playhouse. She was hiding under the slide when he approched her. She accepted the little bracelet made out of unmatched random beads that he made from their elective class in school.
They were both sponsored scholars by private instututions. They were lucky enough to be admitted in a private school, all expenses paid with monthly allowance, because they were both very smart.
"Thank you." She answered. That was the first time she spoke since she was brought to the orphanage. Since then, they started being friends.
When Yi Fan turned sixteen, his mother came back and took him out of the orphanage to live with her newfound husband. He was angry at first because she left him but got over it after a few weeks. His stepdad was nice and treated him as his own because he and his mom didn't have a child.
Ai Ren was left at the orphanage and he would visit her every now and then. When she turned eighteen, the orphanage couldn't keep her any longer because she was of legal age so she moved out.
The both of them managed to keep their private academic scholarships. He lived a little well off while she worked part time jobs to provide for her daily necessities. He, on the other hand, never forgot about helping her out.
They still study in the same university. He has introduced her to his mom when she got out of the orphanage and they had nothing against her and treated her like their own daughter.
Lunch time came, they were both eating together face to face in the school's cafeteria. Of course, Yi Fan inisited on paying for her food which she had no say in.
"So," Yi Fan started, "My parents told me something about them wanting to adopt you."
She was taken aback but wasn't so shocked. Yi Fan's mom said that she wanted her to be her daughter but she didn't think she was serious about it.
"Oh," she formulated the next words she was about to say, "I thought she was joking when she mentioned that."
"Apparently, she wasn't joking." His forehead creased. "But, I didn't agree with what they said."
"Why?" She asked, disappointed. His parents were too nice that she wanted to be part of their family too.
"You can still be their daughter if you want." Then he smiled, his forehead smoothened and his face relaxed. "Just not in that way."
He's being confusing again then he added something that confused me even more but at the same time got my heart beating erratically.
"You can marry into the family."

I'm lightening up the story a bit. I re-read it and it kind of felt heavy. Thank you for reading.
