Chuuya sat in the darkness of his cold prison cell. Ever since being possessed by the vampirism, he'd lost control of himself and his powers. All he felt was an endless hunger that he knew could never be satisfied.

Dazai paced outside Chuuya's cell, desperation in his eyes. He had to help his friend, but every attempt so far had failed. Chuuya was too far gone, driven only by bloodlust.

"Chuuya, please try to listen to my voice," Dazai pleaded. "I know the real you is still in there somewhere. You have to fight this!" Chuuya slowly turned his head, his eyes glowing a deep crimson. He lunged at the bars with inhuman speed, grasping for Dazai.

Dazai steeled himself. "I'm coming in. I have to try." He unlocked the cell, ignoring the warnings in his head. If reaching Chuuya cost him his life, so be it.

As Chuuya attacked, Dazai grabbed him by the shoulders. "Fight it, damnit!" The struggle began in earnest, a battle to save Chuuya's soul. Dazai pinned Chuuya to the ground, but he could feel his friend was slowly growing stronger. Chuuya's eyes glowed brighter.

"No, not yet...fight it!" Dazai yelled. But it was no use. Chuuya threw Dazai off with incredible force. His body now covered by the familiar red markings, he stared at Dazai.

Dazai knew this was the corruption taking over - Chuuya succumbing fully to his true form and nature as Arahabaki. He had to subdue him quickly before the prison was destroyed. Chuuya crushed the walls with his bare hands, gravitationally charged balls crackling in his palms. Dazai dodged the attacks, looking for an opening. If he could just get close enough to use his ability nullification...

But Chuuya moved with reckless abandon, releasing blasts that consumed anything in their path. Dazai was tiring - one hit and it would all be over. He had to make Chuuya remember who he was, somehow.

"Chuuya, please! I know you're still in there. Fight corruption and the vampirism!" Dazai cried out in a last ditch effort.
