Solar woke to the sound of rain pounding against the roof of the den. He curled up tighter in attempt to drown out the sound of the rain, but to no avail. Solar hesitated for a few heartbeats before getting up and stretching.It definitely wasn't a good idea, but going for a walk in the rain might be soothing. He slid out of the den to find the clearing wet from the downpour. He crept quietly past the tree stump that contained berries. Usually berries would be on top of it, but due to the rain it was best keeping them in the crack in the tree stump that would keep them dry until it stopped raining.
Solar walked through the camp entrance and into the forest. The forest was quiet, with the leaves of trees dripping from the rain that splattered onto them. Moonlight poured onto the forest floor from above. Solar gazed up at the moon from above the tree canopy. The moon was round as an Oran berry. Solar suddenly fixed his gaze towards something gleaming in the corner of his eye.
He slowly approached the gleaming something. It appeared round, yet flat. What is that? Solar tipped his head to one side with a puzzled expression. The object was gold-like in color and had something carved in the middle. Okay, weird but I'll keep it. Solar eyed the object for a few moments before picking it up and looking around. Maybe I'll explore more of the forest next time. Solar thought while he shook his fur out even though it wouldn't change much about his soaked fur.
He trotted back to camp with his new discovery. It was still in the middle of the night when he arrived in camp. Solar went into the den he was sleeping in and placed the golden object next to his nest before drying his fur and falling asleep in his nest.
Solar opened his eyes. He stood up and stretched while letting out a yawn before checking to see if the golden object was still there. It remained next to his nest, untouched. He had no clue what it was but he liked the way it looked. Maybe Flicker knows more about. Solar thought and picked up the object, leaving the den. He found Flicker standing at the base of his tree while talking to Velvet. Flicker turned his head as he noticed Solar. "Good morning Solar. Is there anything you need?" Solar pushed the golden object next to Flicker. "Look what I found! Do you know what it is?"
Velvet blinked in surprise while looking at the object. "I think its what those trainers call a 'coin', and where did you get this?" Solar looked at Velvet curiously. He's never heard of the term "trainer" before. "What's a trainer?" Solar tilted his head, ignoring the question that Flicker asked. Well maybe he'll answer it next time, if there is a next time. Flicker replied to him. "A trainer is a human that catches Pokemon and forces them to battle and stay with them." Flicker scrunched up his snout as he went on. "Run away from any trainers if you see one, unless you want to be caught."
Flicker nodded while taking in this information. Sounds very interesting, I guess? He thought while dipping his head at Flicker and Velvet. "Okay thanks, cya!" He turned around, walking away. Solar knew what to do for the next couple of days.
