Solar was moving around the forest with his campmates. They were patrolling their section of the forest. In the lead was Bristle, while Cinder and Razz followed her. Solar followed them but more slowly, falling back. For the past days he's been participating in patrols to find any more strange objects like the coin he found. Were trainers even real? Or are they real, but rare to find? He hoped that finding more of the objects would give hints to what he can learn about them.
"Solar, you there?" Bristle had stopped with the rest of the patrol. Solar blinked back to reality. "Yea, sorry. Was thinking." Solar replied before catching up with the patrol. He'd just have to be on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary. Bristle pricked her ears and looked around. "What was that?" She looked skeptic about something. "What? I didn't hear anything." Razz blinked at Bristle, confused. Bristle shook out her fur and continued ahead. "Was probably me imagining things. Let's go forward." She said, though Solar was as confused as Razz, but said nothing.
The Pokemon followed Bristle until they stopped at a tree. "Okay, this is far enough, and everything seems to be fine. It's time to return back to ca-" A shriek had cut Bristle off. Solar flinched at the sound. Bristle's fur spiked up in alarm while Razz and Cinder froze. "What was that?" Bristle's voice sounded concerned, yet confused. "It sounds like another Pokemon.." Cinder blinked at Bristle in shock. Another cry was heard, and this Time Bristle had flicked her tail for the patrol to follow. Solar sprinted after Bristle and they arrived in a small, enclosed clearing. There was two Pokemon in the clearing, the brown one was injured and cornered by a green Pokemon with wings.
"What's going on here?" Bristle looked at both of the Pokemon. The injured one was brown with lighter brown on its neck fluff and tail tip. The brown Pokemon trembled, while the green one raised its scythe-like arms to strike the Pokemon. Woah, someone needs to stop that thing! Without thinking about the aftermath, Solar sent a spark of electricity towards the green Pokemon. The Scyther jolted and whipped around. "Who dares shock me!" The green Pokemon narrowed its eyes, before fixing its gaze on Solar.
Solar slightly flinched as he met the other Pokemon's gaze. The Pokemon slowly advanced on Solar while muttering. "How dare you shock me, you'll pay for that." The Pokemon raised one of its arms before Bristle came in and faced the Pokemon herself. "Don't you try to attack him or that other Pokemon or we will shock you!" Her cheek pouch crackled with electricity while glaring at the Pokemon. The opposing Pokemon suddenly lashed out with its blades but Bristle moved quicker, countering with her Electro ball. Razz and Cinder rushed to help Bristle but Solar had already start helping her fend off the Pokemon.
Solar used a weak Thunder Shock in attempt to damage the Scyther despite knowing it wouldn't do much. Within a few moments of back and forth attacks, the Scyther grunted before backing up to retreat. "Next time, you won't win!" The Scyther turned before retreating. Bristle shook out her fur before looking at Solar. "Thanks for the backup." She blinked at him. Solar suddenly felt confident of himself. Even though it wasn't much, he helped Bristle fend off that Scyther. Wow this is actually really cool of me to do, maybe I should do it again some time!
Another feeling came to him again, but this time it felt different. A blue light enveloped him as he felt himself grow slightly stronger. And different. Solar thought as he felt a bit bigger than before. The process ended after a few moments and the other Pikachu looked a bit surprised. Solar tipped his head to one side. "What?" He asked curiously and Bristle broke the silence. "You've evolved! Congrats." She blinked at him with a cool smile. Razz added on. "Yea dude, congrats." Razz dipped his head in respect before looking back at the injured Pokemon.
Cinder was the last to congratulate him before all of them focused their attention on the injured Pokemon. The injured Pokemon clearly looked stunned by all that just happened but its eyes were round with gratitude. "Thanks for saving me. I definitely couldn't have faced a Scyther like that by myself!" The injured Pokemon thanked them again. Bristle nodded before replying to the injured Pokemon. "No need to thank us. besides, what's an Eevee doing in Viridian Forest?" Bristle looked at the injured Eevee with a solemn face.
Solar blinked at the Eevee in confusion. What was it doing here? He's never seen one before since he's been in the forest. The Eevee's tail drooped and the Eevee suddenly frowned. "My trainer- I was walking around in Pewter City with my trainer before we came here and I suddenly got lost!" The Eevee panicked as he realized his situation. Oh, sorta sounds sad. Solar felt a bit of sympathy for the Eevee, though he really didn't understand. Bristle pondered before looking at the Eevee. "You should come with us to rest. It seems like you've taken a bit of a beating." She flicked her tail at the Eevee, before padding out of the small enclosed clearing. Solar and the remaining Pokemon followed her out of the clearing. What an interesting day.
