Dante shifted into human form, picking up the prone wolf gently. The wolf stirred, but didn't wake. Jogging quickly, he tried not to jostle her as he ran towards Souther. Everybody going through the trials is staying there for convenience's sake.

In no time at all, Drake, Kyle, George came running up. Dante passed her over reluctantly, though his body is grateful to be relieved of the weight, his heart wasn't.

I felt myself being shifted into Daddy's arms, but I was too sleepy to wake. What felt like seconds later, someone shook me gently, trying to wake me up. Tiredly I open my eyes only to look into Dante's clear dark blue eyes. I blinked, "What? I want to sleep."

"We reached home. Samantha and Lily, her apprentice, wants to check on you."

"Ok, hurry up." I grumbled.

I was in a state of daydream, and didn't even notice her checking and bandaging my head wounds. I did notice when she pressed on my leg though. I screamed in pain when she touched the injured area. "Shit! That hurts like hell!" I cursed loudly. Dante squeezed my hand sympathetically

"She has a mild concussion, wake her every two to three hours to make sure she's not unconscious. Call if she vomits or complain of dizziness, or any unusual. As for her leg, it is sprained, and the ankle needs to be iced constantly and elevated. Don't let her walk on it. That's all." Lily said.

Kyle looked torn. "I've got a meeting with Alpha Jim." He's in The Were Council, in charge to protecting the secret of Weres from humans. Obviously the meeting is important. The Lunas are still back at home, far away, and have no need to worry them. Werewolves heal faster than humans because of a higher metabolism rate which speeds up recovery rate.

"I will do it!" Dante volunteered. "It's okay, I am not tired." They reluctantly agreed, then left the room to do their own stuff.

He got pails of ice and water from the kitchen, dipped a rag in it, then wrapped the ankle loosely.

I woke up when I felt icy coolness on my ankle numbing and relieving the pain. I smiled at him gratefully. "I am hungry? And thirsty too?"

He grinned playfully. "I know, I prepared bacon sandwiches and some soup for you. And before you ask, Dana's fine and sleeping in bed now-it's midnight already."

I frowned, "What about you? You must be tired, go to bed."

"No it's alright, what are best friends for?" He chucked my chin playfully. My heart felt a pang at that, leaving me wondering about my feelings.

After eating, I went back to sleep and when I awoken, it was already morning. Dante look so cute when he's sleeping! I brushed a hand over his hair, surprisingly myself, gave a kiss on his forehead. I swung my legs over, ready to go to the bathroom when arms wrapped around me, pulling me back, "Ooohhh! Dante! What are you doing?"

His arms felt nice around me, pulling me against his body. He leant forward, whispering in my ear, "Doc's orders, you can't walk on your ankle yet."

I felt weird, in a good way from his closeness. "B-But I want to go to the toilet."

"Let me carry you then."

With that, he picked me up like a feather and deposited me in the bathroom, standing on one leg. After I finished, he carried me back to the bed and plopped in with me. Dana popped in with breakfast and we spent the day hanging out.

The next day, I was able to return to the trials as it was a theory lesson. Sadly I wasn't able to attend the Patrols as Lily doesn't allow me to run, but I was able to observe.

I walked slowly to our meeting place. Josh was already there, waiting.

"Hey thanks for that night, you know."
