My time is now

Thankfully I didn't have a hard time sleeping, and actually fell asleep in a flash. Or, that's what I thought, since the morning sun had woken me up as soon as I got comfortable in my bed.

Rover was getting ready for the day, as always, before leaving for breakfast with a quick wave. I didn't want to be late for breakfast, because today would be the last day I ever eat breakfast in here.

I walked behind the room divider and pulled the night gown off of me before changing to my outfit as a writer of destiny. I do think these writer of destiny clothes look cool, but I should definitely get new clothes once I get to Ninjago. 'Cause I think I look too much like a priest or some rich old man in these.

Once I was done changing, I folded my night gown neatly and made my bed. I don't want to make a mess right before leaving, after all. Although I only folded the the night gown so it fit better in the bag Nobu gave me.

Of course I also made sure the golden book of the Cloud Kingdom and my scroll were in there. As for my scroll of tasks, I decided to leave it under my bed to rot. I wasn't going to really need it anyway.

You might think I don't really need the golden book of the Cloud Kingdom either, but I kinda thought it'd be a nice souvenir of this place.

And now that I'm done packing, I can leave for breakfast. I basically skipped down the stairs as I made my way to the busy dining room, where everyone was munching on breakfast as usually... If we ignore the fact that the news of the ninja arriving had won the prize of the most popular conversation topic for today.

I could hear everyone whispering about 'ninja this', 'the ninja that', and so on. Who could blame them, it's not everyday the saviors of Ninjago come visit an entirely different realm.

It was also kind of hard to ignore how some people were staring at my face. I wiped my lips and cheeks in case there was something there, yet I found nothing. Perhaps it was for the best to just ignore them.

I got myself a plate before I piled a bunch of tasty food on it, of course not forgetting a glass of water either. Feeling more giddy and excited by the moment, I skipped over to my seat in front of Nobu, who was already eating his breakfast.

"You're beaming." He started the conver- huh? what?

"I am?" I let out, examining my hands and clothes for proof, but that only made Nobu sigh.

"Not literally. You're smiling so hard that I mistook you for a light bulb." Oh, is that so? I hadn't even realized I was smiling until I felt my face once more.

"I can't help it! Today is going to be the best day ever!" I over exaggerated a bit, just so Nobu would get my point.

"But," I changed my tone a little as I put on a pouting face instead. "I do prefer you'd call me the sun instead. Being called a light bulb is rather insulting, especially in a realm that doesn't even use them."

"Whatever." Nobu answered me rather simply as I let out a laugh, before starting to eat. We conversed a bit more as we ate.

"So, you got the scroll I gave you?" I asked, lowering my tone of voice a bit.

"Right here." He answered, pointing to his worn out cinch bag that sat by his feet on the floor.

"Okay, good. Do you have work at Ninjago's writing hall today too?" I then asked.

"As always. Why?" Nobu answered before questioning me about it.

"I'll be doing something there today, like cleaning or something. So let's walk together." I explained as Nobu nodded.

"Sure." Indeed I was going to the writing hall of Ninjago to wait for the ninja to arrive. 'Cause I remember when they first arrive they went into a writing hall that had Dareth, so it was definitely the writing hall of Ninjago.
