"Is everyone ready?"

Steven quickly grabbed his candy-bag – painted by himself, by the way – and ran through the door, where he would be waiting for all of you.

You accommodated your hat, being that you and Garnet agreed to dress up together as Amity and Luz from The Owl House. You both walked hand to the same spot, and the gems didn't take long to join in.

Cute costumes, you had to admit. Steven was taking his role as a mummy very seriously. No, really, you guys ran out of toilet paper. Pearl and Amethyst also matched costumes, both mimicking two really attractive vampires.

Not too much after, Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth appeared on the warpad. Lapis being a devil – who she didn't need to get the wings for –, Peridot a wicked scientist, gray, chaotic hair and huge goggles included, and Bismuth had orange and black dreadlocks, matching her new fit.

"Sorry for arriving so late! Peridot insisted in bringing Pumpkin," Lapis remarked as the three of them approached you.

"Lapis said they were going to carve his poor little face off!" Peridot continued in the verge of tears.

Bismuth abruptly patted her back. "That's why we didn't bring him, Peri." She then turned to admire all of you. "You guys look awesome!"

"Oh, well, thank you! You look terrific, as well," Pearl replied with a smile.

Amethyst groaned at her humour, probably regretting agreeing to spend the rest of her evening with Pearl, while Bismuth couldn't escape her laughter.

"Shall we go now?" You suggested, and everyone replied with a nod.

Knocking some doors around the small neighborhood was your definition of relaxedly perfect. The fact that Garnet's hand didn't leave yours at any moment also helped.

At one moment you were separated from the rest, as Amethyst and Steven went off to prank some of their friends, and were also accompanied by Pearl, you know, to keep an eye on them, just in case.

You stood there, struggling to choose the next house in where to trick or treat. What you hadn't noticed were Garnet's eyes, who wouldn't even try to leave your face alone.

"I still don't understand your disguises," Peridot pointed out, talking about both yours and Garnet's.

"It's from a TV show she... Well, we like," Garnet answered, making you pop out a grin.

"And why were you holding hands all night? Are you on a heat deficiency?" She kept inquiring.

You raised a brow. "Oh, Steven hasn't told you?"

"Told me about what?" She replied.

"Our kiss," Garnet stated coldly.

What you didn't expect was Peridot laughing out loud. "Yeah, as you would actually kiss!" She dried herself a tear. "Ah, I didn't know perma-fusions got funnier each day."

That really infuriated Garnet, making her take hold of your cheeks and stomping her lips sheepishly over yours.

That was your first kiss.

And that was the first time you saw someone being that able to open their jaw that much.
