Yunho awoke with discomfort, the surrounding light making him squint. It took a moment for him to realize he was in the hospital. A doctor who was still there explained his condition, mentioning how Yunho had passed through a critical state before someone willingly helped him by donating one of their kidneys to keep him alive.

"Who?"

"The person who brought you here. Song Mingi."

For the first time, Yunho realized all his foolish actions. He had brought himself to a life-and-death situation, and beyond that, his friend had sacrificed for him. Mingi did care for him, but the thought of the man willingly donating his organ just to keep Yunho alive never crossed his mind.

"Where is Mingi now? I want to meet him."

Yunho was about to get off the bed when the doctor stopped him.

"For now, you can't meet Song Mingi. The patient is still recovering from the operation. It might take a few days, so you don't need to worry."

"But, is Mingi okay? Has he regained consciousness?"

"The patient is fine. You don't need to worry about his condition. He hasn't fully awakened yet, but it won't have any impact. For today, it's better for you to rest. A nurse will come here and assist with your needs. Get well soon."

The next day, Yunho was allowed to go home with a few prescriptions and some restrictions that he would surely follow. Although his condition had improved significantly, the doctor still advised against resuming regular work. So that day, he prepared a few things to take to the hospital, visiting Mingi who had been moved to a regular ward.

"Mingi."

Although the doctor said Mingi was getting better, to Yunho, he still looked unwell. His face was pale with dry lips, half-lying on the hospital bed, smiling as he saw Yunho sitting beside him. "I'm glad to see you're okay," Mingi said.

Yunho grabbed Mingi's wrist, crying while holding onto it.

"I don't know how to express it anymore. Mingi, thank you. For my actions, for you being in this position. I should have listened to you. Forgive me."

Mingi gently stroked Yunho's hair, lifting his chin, making him look up after previously bowing his head.

"Don't cry. I'm okay. Besides, I still have one kidney left, right? Don't be like this; I'm fine. Now listen to me." Mingi held Yunho's fingers gently, almost slipping away due to how weak he was right now. "You already have my organ inside you. Take good care of it, okay? Don't stress until you start drinking again. Otherwise, your kidney might get damaged again. If that happens, I'll have to donate my last one for you."

Yunho immediately shook his head, not wanting that to happen. "I promise I'll take care of it. I won't drink again. I'll listen to you. Forgive me." With a heartfelt hug, Yunho shed tears on Mingi's shoulder. It was no longer just about the overwhelming gratitude but also a growing feeling in his heart. He loved his friend.
