'What do you want to know?' The note read, and she was practically overjoyed that he wrote something down for her. She was speechless, but she quickly composed herself. "Well, I hope this isn't...offensive. But, why don't you speak?" She asked, he was still unmoving. And after a moment, he began to write again.

'Don't want to.' It read as he passed it to her. She read it, and nodded. "Ah alright..." She said, leaning back in her chair. She wasn't as scared of him as she initially thought she'd be. "I've heard about...what you did as a kid. You killed your father and sister, but you left your younger sister alone. If I may ask...why did you do it?" She asked softly. Michael could hear the genuine curiosity in her voice, and he tilted his head.

He then wrote down something else, and passed it to her. 'They deserved it. Judith couldn't keep her legs closed, and Ronnie was a slob and a shitty father. He was going to die anyway.' It read, and once she read it, she frowned a bit. "I'm sorry about the environment you grew up in. It seems like it was intense." She said quietly, and Michael let out a small grunt at her words.

Evelyn was beginning to understand him a little more. He wasn't brainless, he did have a thought process, he was human. Just like all of them. Yet he was treated like a monster. "If you had the chance....would you kill again?" She asked quietly, a bit of anxiety now in her voice.

This time, Michael just stared at her. It was hard to tell if he was contemplating the question, or just...staring. But that's when he did something she didn't expect. "I would." He said, and Evelyn's eyes widened at his voice. It was deep, and gruff. It was clear he hadn't spoken in ages.

She gulped at the answer, "Why? Why kill innocent people?" She asked, and Michael stared at her. "No one is innocent. Everyone has a dirty secret, and I can see it." He replied. Something about his voice...was evil. It had no emotion in it, but it was what she thought the devil would sound like.

She stayed silent for a moment, writing something down. "So, no one is innocent to you. You truly believe no one is innocent? Kind?" She asked, a bit disappointed in his answer.
He stayed silent at her question, a small huff coming from under the paper-made mask. "You are." Was all he responded with, and this caught her off guard."M..me?" she asked, very confused with this.

Michael let out a small hum as an answer. "You're not ignorant. You'd rather understand than judge. Something people don't do." He said, and she nodded slowly. She could still feel his gaze on her, scrutinizing and not faltering for even a second. This was something she'd remember for the rest of her life.
