A Summer Day.

You were warm like a summer day.
I swam in your eyes like I would the calm swimming pool...
But you drowned me in the cold, blue water.
I gazed at your smile, warm and bright as the shining sun...
Not realizing I was blind and burnt.
I thought, when you held me, you were gentle like a breeze...
But you pushed me into the water, chlorine filled my lungs as I reached out for your help.
None came.
Your hoodie was blue like the soft sky.
I hate blue now.
You've forever tainted the color, dark with my blood.
The blood you made me shed.
You caused this.
I hate summer days now.
What used to mean Popsicles and fun now only reminds me of you.
I will never forgive you.
