❝Dwarf's Mine❞

[Third POV]

As the trio opened their eyes, they were met with a dark, eerie forest

"So this is the Dwarf's Mine... Long ago, this mine was flushed with magestones" the navy haired Heartslabyul student wondered

"Urgh... Who knows what lurks in there now?" the cat-monster quivered behind Yukina's shoulder

"I hope we survive this night..." the white haired girl mumbled, feeling the unsettling vibe from the forest

"Hey look, I can see a house. Let's see what the people there have to say" Ace turned to the three before walking towards the abandoned-looking cottage

As the four of them went inside the cottage they were greeted with a dusty and old interior of the house

"Hellooo? Is anyone home...? Must be empty. It looks like it's been abandoned" Deuce checked out the rest of the house

"Bwah! I got a spider web on my face! Ptchoo! Ptchoo!" Grim tried to brush the web off of his face until it was fully gone

"This house definitely needs a clean up and a redecoration..." the tired female swiped a dust with her gloved fingers before rubbing it off

"Woah, these desks chairs are tiny. Did children live here?" The auburn haired male counted each of them "one, two... Seven! It's like a clown car in here!"

"When the mine was flourishing, this house must have been a lively place"

"Well, this isn't getting us anywhere. If we're gonna find a magestone, it'll be inside the mine" Ace pointed it out "let's head inside and take a look"

The four freshmen of Heartslabyul went outside the cottage and headed towards the cave where the magestones were mined

"You wanna go inside THERE? It's pitched black!" Grim immediately hide behind Yukina, who's has an uncomfortable look on her face

"I'm not going in either..." the girl said quietly, enough to be not heard by the boys

"What, are you scared of the dark? Pathetic" Ace made fun of Grim

"Myah?! I'm not scared of anything! I'm taking the lead. You all follow me!" The monster walked inside followed by the two boys. Ace then noticed that Yukina isn't following them

"You coming, Kina?" He called out to her

"I'm fine staying here, thanks..." She looked away uncomfortably

"Oh, come on! You're not backing out now!" He took the female's hand and dragging her inside before she could react

As the four of them ventured inside the cave, Deuce immediately stopped

"Huh? Hold up!"

"What now?" Ace groaned

"There's something there!" The navy hair pointed to the two ghosts

"Myah?!" Grim exclaimed then hid behind the uncomfortable Yukina

"Hee hee hee hee! Visitors! The first in ten years!" The first ghost floated in front of the three students

"Do make yourselves at home... You can stay forever!" The second ghost the followed the smaller one
