❝Dwarf's Mine❞

[Third POV]

As Ace and Deuce got to their positions, Yukina and Grim stood in front of the mines

"H-hey, monster! I'm, uh... I-I'm over here!!" Grim yelled, trying to get the monsters attention

The beast looked at Grim and roared angrily

"He's comin' our way!! Yukina!!" Grim began running and so does the girl

The pair led the monster far from the mines. Yukina then looked behind and saw how far they were

"This is far enough!!"

"Eep!! If it lands one of those punches, we're toast!!" The cat-monster kept running

"Let's just lure it far from the entrance" the girl continued

"We got it far from the mines!"

Yukina nodded "alright...!"

The girl stopped and took out her magical pen, she sent out a signal to alert Ace and Deuce

Ace noticed the signal and smirked
"That's my cue! One extra-large gust of wind comin' up!!"

The ginger sent out a strong wind towards the monster along with Grim's fire, they created an inferno

"How's that taste?! With my winds fanning them, even Grim's feeble flames can become an inferno!" Ace grinned victoriously

"Whaddaya mean 'feeble'?! Ya really don't know how to shut yer trap, do ya?!" The cat glared at the male

"Now's not the time for arguing!!" The girl yelled at the two while using her own magic to weaken the monster

As the three kept distracting the monster, Deuce took a deep breath and let out a sigh
"Just stay calm, aim carefully... And pull out the biggest, heaviest thing I can think of... Get 'em, cauldron!"

The navy haired male summoned a cauldron and knocked the monster on the ground, causing it to fall down

"Nailed it! The plan's working!" Grim cheered happily, but Yukina's expression said otherwise
"Look, Yukina! That monster got smashed flat by a falling cauldron, just like Ace did!" The cat continued

"Coulda done without the reminder, thanks! This has been one drag after another..." The said male sighed

"Quick! While it's on the ground, we need to get that magestone!" The four of them ran into the mines and went to grab the crystal, the monster saw them heading inside and roared

"There! That's the magestone!" Deuce pointed at the crystal and the monster roared more, trying to free its way out

"Crap! It's almost free!" Ace noticed the monster trying to escape

"Hey, Deuce! You gotta add more weight!" Grim said in a panicked tone

"Y-you mean something heavier? Uh... I summon thee, cauldron! And also, uh... Um... Another cauldron! And a cauldron on top of that! All the cauldrons!" The navy haired male summoned more cauldrons on top of the monster

"Is that the only thing you know how to summon?!" Ace questioned

"Shut up! I'm worked up enough as it is!"

Grim created some flames and Yukina immediately grabbed the magestone
"We got the magestone! Now let's skedaddle!!"

"Roger that!"
