Katie McCabe and Dovelyn Foord had started a bet.
First one to reveal their relationship, loses.
The two had been dating for just over two years eight months and they were sure no one knew. Not a sister, not a parents, not a teammate and certainly not the media.
At first they weren't secret, they were selectively private, but when a bet was brought up by Caitlin Foord unknowingly. The two found themselves snickering behind close doors knowing they were playing every single person. Because not a single soul knew, they had always been close, although they didn't share an apartment. Dove was always over, they always did annual movie nights. Everyone knew they were the best of friends.
The World Cup comes around, and still, a single person has yet to figure out what is going on. But during open doors, there's a linger in the air and soon enough people will slowly put the dots together. Starting with Doves twin sister; who always threatened to take down anyone who wanted to date her sister (although it never seemed like a threat, Caitlin's voice was too nice) and ending with the media.
