NOTES: I wrote it a year ago and only posted it on IG.

It will be a personal one.
So go easy on me. ❤️

For once, the story is not set in New York, but in Europe

They have a good life. They built it together. Everything they have achieved in life is due to their own strength and perseverance. They have worked hard for everything. No one helped them. One thing they never had to fight for. For each other. The real gift of their lives is that they found each other, because they are true soulmates.

It started 30 years ago...it was 13 November 1992.

It was a cold November morning. Magnus was waiting for the subway. He went to work. He was wearing a long winter coat. It wasn't nice and it wasn't fancy. But at that time it was all he could afford. He was 18. He graduated from high school and didn't go to college. But at that time it was quite ordinary. His working day started early. He had to be in the flower shop by 6am. He had to travel an hour to work. So at 5 in the morning he stood there, sleepy and freezing, waiting for the subway.

It happened that chilly morning at the station he saw HIM. It's like there's a rope attached to his chest and it keeps pulling him towards the boy. And it felt so right. It was totally unexpected, he had feelings like never before.

Magnus was never the loud, bossy type. At eighteen, he was a quiet, shy man. That was because he was damn lonely. His whole family has a closer relationship with alcohol than with him. It must be said that they never physically hurt him. Probably didn't want to verbally either, but things happen when alcohol takes control. He often felt uncomfortable about his family. This is probably the reason why Magnus never drinks alcohol. He didn't have a 'normal' childhood, he didn't have a 'normal' family. He was loved in a way by his parents (or rather by his mother and her 3rd husband they were living with). But at the same time he had a really lonely childhood. Sucks. But that's another story.

So Magnus saw the most beautiful man in the world that morning and couldn't take his eyes off him. And when he looked back at Magnus, their eyes locked. They sat opposite each other on the subway. Magnus took out his book. He always reads while traveling. It was always a kinda safe space for him. When he read, all the worries disappeared. He was lost in a dream world. But now, somehow, he couldn't concentrate on his book. Every now and then he looked up and saw the man sitting opposite him was smiling at him. Magnus smiled back.

In his confusion, he stared at his book, then at the most beautiful eyes in the world, which were fixed on him. And then came the next stop, when he had to get off. He stood up, his heart skipping a beat. He summoned all his courage and said, barely audible, to the boy sitting opposite him.

"Hi." said Magnus

"Hi." he said.

Gosh, he said it back, Gosh, he smiled at him. Magnus almost fainted. But he had to get off. The subway kept going. With him. With the most beautiful human being in the world. He felt a happiness he'd never felt before. Then came the panic. He knows nothing about him. They would never meet again. It was a bittersweet moment. But he couldn't think about it for long. The day started, he had to work. All day long, he was thinking about that pretty boy. He just couldn't get him out of his mind. The next morning, when he was waiting for the subway at the usual time, he kept looking for that boy. The subway came, but the pretty boy wasn't there. He got on the subway in sadness and he wondered, what if the boy had been late yesterday? So the next day he left home 15 minutes earlier and waited in the cold at the subway station. He let 3-4 subway trains go. He waited in case he saw him. But nothing happened. He had to leave to not be late for work. This went on for two weeks. He waited every day. But the boy wasn't there. Then the following week, on Monday morning, he saw the boy. Thousand butterflies began to flutter in Magnus' stomach, he felt boundless happiness and excitement. Then he thought, maybe the boy doesn't remember him. When he reached the platform, the boy smiled at him.
