As the sun began its descent over the picturesque town of Brighton Falls, California, Hivemus Prime navigated the streets with a thoughtful hum of his engine. The quiet town nestled against the ocean provided a serene backdrop for the Autobot as he pondered a decision that weighed heavily on his mechanical shoulders.

Choosing a quiet spot on a hill overlooking the beach, Hivemus Prime decided it was time to make a connection with Ultra Magnus. With the precision of a well-honed communicator, he activated his commlink, reaching out to the Autobot commander miles away.

"Hivemus Prime to Ultra Magnus. Do you read me?" His voice, a blend of steel and resonance, echoed through the airwaves.

The response came promptly, "Yes, Hivemus Prime. Any signs of Decepticon activity?"

"Afraid not, sir," Hivemus Prime replied, the melancholy in his tone betraying the conflict within. "Listen, I have a human friend who already knows of my existence, and I was wondering if I could spend some time with her, become her guardian, and protect her from any harm while you and the others continue to search for the Decepticons."

There was a pause at the other end, a digital silence pregnant with consideration. Ultra Magnus finally questioned, "Are you suggesting that you leave our group during our mission?"

"Yes, sir," Hivemus Prime affirmed. "But I promise I won't be gone for long. I'll rejoin the group after I make sure that my friend and her family are safe."

The response carried a hint of skepticism, "Her?"

"Her name is Charlie Watson, and she's a new friend of mine. If you ever need my assistance, just contact me. Okay?"

"Alright," Ultra Magnus conceded. "Just stay out of trouble and keep a low profile."

"Understood." Hivemus Prime concluded the communication, a weight lifted from his circuits, but replaced with a sense of responsibility. As he sighed, settling on the hill overlooking the beach, the vastness of the ocean seemed to mirror the expanse of his contemplation. The decision to protect a single human amidst the cosmic turmoil resonated deeply within the Autobot, setting in motion a path that diverged from the collective mission but promised to intertwine with the destinies of man and machine alike.

On a hill overlooking the vast expanse of the ocean, Hivemus Prime stood in contemplative silence. In his metallic hands, he cradled the Sword of Primus, a relic of cosmic significance that had chosen him as its bearer. As the metallic surface of the blade caught the fading sunlight, Hivemus Prime found himself entranced by the reflections staring back at him.

"Well... I guess I'll have to keep this sword with me," he mused aloud, the resonance of his voice carried by the wind. His optics traced the intricate patterns on the sword's surface, symbols of an ancient legacy that was now intertwined with his own destiny. Memories of the discovery in the mountains of Idaho echoed in his circuits, where the sword's aura had hinted at a path not yet unveiled.

"I thought it was meant for my friend, Orion Eclipse," Hivemus Prime continued, his voice carrying the weight of realization. "When Hot Rod, Ratchet, and Ironhide first found the sword inside a cave in the mountains of Idaho, we all thought that the Sword of Justice was meant for Orion Eclipse to become the next Prime. But it turns out that the Sword of Primus wasn't meant for Orion to make him into a Prime, it was meant for me to become the next Prime the entire time."

With a measured motion, Hivemus Prime sheathed the Sword of Primus, the resonance of metal against metal punctuating his musings. A somber expression crossed his features as he grappled with the implications of his newfound mantle.

"Optimus?" he addressed the vastness before him, his words carried by the breeze. "I know you're one with the Allspark right now, and that you've made a promise to return to the living world someday. But I don't know what to do now that I'm a Prime. Being a Prime is a huge responsibility. I may not be the next leader of the Autobots, and I may not have the Matrix of Leadership inside my chest because it's with you in the Allspark, but I can't face the challenges without you, Optimus. I miss you so much."
