Chapter 23: Nostalgic horrors- Part 1

Time: 8:00 pm
Location: colony

Khan stood outside his apartment.

Two days ago Uzi had came to Khan in search pf answers relating to the logo on her mother's collar and Doll's bracelet.

Upon being confronted Khan decided it was time to let Uzi in on some things.

Two days ago...

Khan stood on a step lader, he was rummaging through the top shelf of a filing cabinet. Eventually Khan found what he was looking for.

"Found it!", declared Khan as he pulled out a file with words on it that have been crossed out with black pen and replaced with the words, "camp photos :D".

Khan walked put of his office and sat down on a sofa next to Uzi. "What's that?" Asked Uzi.

"Well that bracelet you found originates from Camp 98.7. That's actually where I met your mother!", replied Khan as he pulled out a photo.

The photo was of a group of drones lined up in rows, amongst them was some faces Uzi recognisable like Khan, Nori, Yeva and Ivan, who were all circled. Although there were two that Uzi didn't recognise that were circled although we know them to be Steve and Alex.

Uzi immediately took note of the lack of snow in the image. Of course before the core collapsed, Copper-9 wasn't a frigid waste land.

Uzi also noticed that something looked wrong with the drones in the photo, they all looked tired, scared, and delirious.

"Hey dad?", Khan looked at Uzi, "yes?".
"If this is when you met mother then why do you all look so scared?"

Khan didn't answer.

Instead he just put the photo back and stood up, "want answers? Go to that camp. But I must warn you, there's nothing pleasant left there. That went with Nori"

Present day...

It had been two days and Khan had had time to dwell on Uzi's question.

Khan was lost in day dream when Uzi snapped her fingers causing Khan to snap back to reality.

"Ugh, dad, why did you have to make it a school trip?", groaned Uzi.
"Well, I thought maybe you're class mates would enjoy it?", that was a lie.

In actuality Khan felt that if Uzi was going to go uncover some secrets about the camp then Thad should find out to.

"Oh, one last thing before you go!", said Khan as he pulled out a leather collar with the number 020, "this was mine. I don't want it anymore so you can have it", explained Khan as he placed the collar in Uzi's hand.

"Neat" said Uzi as she pocketed the collar.

"Now listen Uzi I've got some tips for you. First tip, in the camp you'll find a main building of sorts, you'll know it when you see it. Whatever you do don't go into the 7th room on the left side of the stair case! I'm not saying this because there's a dark secret in there or because it's dangerous. I'm saying this because you do not want to know what me an Nori did in there!", instructed Khan.

Uzi nervously nodded.

"Alright, second tip, if you hear as clicking sound, close your eyes and run in the opposite direction!", instructed Khan.

Uzi just nodded, "alright, cool, see you later I guess", Uzi then walked off.

Khan watched as Uzi disappeared down the hall. He sighed as he walked inside his apartment.

Khan made his way to the living room, he sat himself down on the couch as he closed his eyes, 'what were we scared of', thought Khan.
