We were now lazing around pool side. Bijou and Isaac were talking in the hot tub. Elio went to shower because Sol had to go. He had a date to get ready for later on tonight, and that was his ride.
Maya was napping on a lounger under the umbrella, and Zoe was sunbathing in the grass. Patrick,Sol and Cris were talking about who knows what as he cleaned the grill. While Lucy and I laid adrift in the center of the swimming pool sharing a large flamingo float. She on her stomach, and I on my back."Hey Eliza." She called out as her hand wade in the water.
"Hmm." I said with my right arm draped over my eyes.
"Can I ask you something?" She said. I felt the float shifting as Lucy started turning over. I lifted my arm up to see her looking at me with worry. Something must be really wrong. This is loud and fearless Lucy. What could be making her so melancholy? She should be high on life getting rave reviews for her performance in Swan Lake, and so many offers for next year.
"Sure. What's up?" I asked giving her my undivided attention.
"Promise you won't judge me." Is it that serious? "Of course not. Lucy what's going on?"
She looked around before leaning closer to me. " I... I don't know if you've noticed that Patrick and I haven't been..." We look at each other.
"Friendly." I suggested. I think we all noticed the demise of their relationship, and that they have been arguing a lot. And that's weird because Patrick gets along with everybody.
"Right,and.." Okay she needs to spit it out already because all of this pausing is getting annoying.
"Whatever it is you'll get through it Lucy." I smile patting her knee to reassure her. "Are you two not getting along because of the recent changes?"
"What do you mean?" Lucy looks unsure.
"You know. Having to be around each other all of the time. Is it getting to be too much for you? Like it's annoying." I'm just making wild guesses because she won't just say what the hell is going on.
"No it's not that." She looked around to see that Patrick was now laying down with Maya.
Oh my God. Spit it out already. Okay I need to be patient.
"I've found myself being attracted to Patrick." She whispered. I furrowed my brows. Really?
"That's it?" I looked at her confused. "He's not a bad looking guy so I understand."
"No you don't understand." Lucy states getting louder jumping off of the float swimming to the steps exiting the pool. What the hell is she yelling at me for? I followed behind her looking to see if anyone noticed her little outburst. "Well I'd understand if you would be straight forward not speaking in broken English. Stop being cryptic. And don't yell at me. I didn't do anything to you. What the hell is up?" I ask as we grab our towels. Lucy pulled me forward so that her mouth was at my ear. "I'm not just attracted to him. Like I want to fuck him. I fantasize about him. I get off on thoughts of him. Masturbation and all." My eyes go big at her reveal. I was not expecting all of that. "Yeah exactly." She said when seeing my facial expression. "That's why I can't be around Patrick. I don't want to be cool with him because I just can't." Oh wow. I look at her with astonishment. "Okay so you find yourself attracted to him. Big deal. It doesn't mean you will act on it. Especially when he's with one of your good friends. People fantasize about others all of the time. Fantasize about him for as how long you need, and when you realize he has flaws that you're not willing to deal with you'll move on." I stated.
"But he doesn't. Like it's Patrick,Eliza." I smiled sheepishly
shaking my head in agreement understanding where she's coming from. He is great. He's kind, helpful, protective, funny, easy to talk to,and pairing that with him actually being physically attractive. So yeah.
