She looked damn near like an angel if she wasn't already. The smile planted on her face almost made me cry from seeing it in person again but I couldn't, not right now I had a job to do and if I didn't do it right her and Alice will be in trouble and that's the last thing I want.

"What is taking you so fucking long?!" Oh and there's him who's Most likely the devil himself. I turned away from the window of our tiny beach house we rented for the day. Caleb stood at the door while holding it open impatiently with a scowl on his face. I rolled my eyes before pushing past him but he grabbed my arm and squeezed it tightly.

"Don't forget I could kill you and no one would even care to find you if they even could." My jaw clinched as I tried to pull myself together from breaking down. He let me go and walked ahead of me before I let out a sigh of relief.

Caleb always told me what he'd do to me exactly and it gave me chills. Caleb wasn't forgiving and he definitely wasn't one to have an ounce of empathy in him.

"Miss are you okay?" I turned towards the voice to be faced with a young girl a little bit taller than me with short black hair. She had a worried look in her eye making me smile and fix my posture.

"Uhm yes I am, just a little bit tired from my flight." I chuckled quietly but she shook her head.

"I heard what that man said to you and as much as I wanted to smash his face into the door behind you I didn't want to cause you any trouble with what would happen after." I smiled at her and chuckled.

"Thank you honey but I'm okay I promise and he can't do anything to me I have a certain guardian angel watching over me and she has been for years." Her smile grew bigger and for a moment I thought I saw myself in her.

"August are you coming or not mom wants us to go get food from the stands along the boardwalk." I turned towards the other voice and it's like my breath hitched and my stomach started hurting. The nerves were kicking in and the realization was hitting once more. That's Alice and rightfully my daughter over anything he believes in.

Her gray eyes reminded me of her mother's but hers were more lively and brighter than the ones I just saw through the window. She starred at me for a second as if she was questioning herself before she cleared her throat.

"Do I know you? I'm sorry but I feel like we met before." Her lips formed into a small smile as August placed her hand onto her side before kissing her head.

"I'm sorry honey you must be confusing me with someone else." Alice starred at me for a moment more before nodding and pulling August by her hand towards the board walk. Thankfully they didn't see Caleb's face or else the plan would fail miserably.

I had the file on hand but made sure Caleb wouldn't find it somewhere I folded it up and hid it on me where he wouldn't notice unless he was really looking but knowing him he'll get drunk and maybe just maybe drown himself but it couldn't be that easy sadly.

Marcus said him and Logan would be somewhere near us watching and ready. The plan was simple really it was mainly just in the right moment or not but what I was mainly worried about is how Ivy would react and Alice. I'm assuming she hasn't seen the man in ages since Ivy finally escaped his grasp.

Hopefully she won't hate me for this.

"What took you so long? Cmon I need to get drunk, all these happy people are making me tense." I rolled my eyes which he caught and glared at me before sighing loudly.

"You know me and Ivy went to a beach just like this.. with a beach house where I fucked the shit out of her. I made her feel good and not once did she think about your ass." He chuckled before sipping his beer.
