Skye was almost on the brink of tears, and she just couldn't hold it in anymore. She had possibly the most stressful week of her entire life and she just couldn't handle it.
Tests, after tests, after tests, after tests, she just can't take it anymore! Not to mention, if that wasn't bad enough, it felt like she had a target on her back by the teachers and even by some of the classmates for no reason.
Not to mention, when she did need comfort from her brother, he was always busy or not at home due to being the CEO of SOL Tech, which she didn't blame him for it, god no, it just felt horrible that no one seemed to care about her.
It was a Friday which was a good thing, but it was also the early part of the day, so she has to wait for the bloody day to get over it, and thankfully it was a lunch break so she could catch a break.
But it wasn't a massive breather for her, though.
"Hey," Skye looked at pretty much the only friend she had that was in this school, Yusaku, since Miyu was sick that entire week, "Are you alright?" he asked.
"Oh, yeah. I am fine." She lied.
"Are you sure?" Yusaku looked worried at her. She looked like she was stressed.
"Ye-Yeah, I am. You don't have to worry about me." she said as she wanted to be alone, but Yusaku wouldn't budge.
Yusaku narrowed his eyes, he didn't buy it. "You don't seem to be alright. Is something wrong?" asked Yusaku as Skye tried to dismiss it.
"What? No, no, no, everything is fine, every...thing." Yusaku narrowed his eyes once more when she said that. And then he realized what was going on.
She was bottling up her emotions until she can't take it anymore and burst like a broken bottle. Yusaku knows how that goes, and hates remembering when he did that until he actually got comfort from somebody close to him so he could finally release all of the pent up emotions up to that point.
"Skye, are you... bottling up your emotions?" asked Yusaku as Skye looked at him, slightly shocked when he said that.
"Wh-What? No, of course not." she tried to assure him, but it was failing each second.
Yusaku sighed and placed a hand on her shoulder causing her to look at him in the eyes, "Skye, you are bottling up your emotions. You know that you shouldn't do that." Skye tried to say that he was worrying for no reason, Yusaku narrowed his eyes even more to the point people thought he was squinting.
"Skye, if you want someone whose shoulder you can cry on..." he blushed as he struggled to finish that sentence, "I will help you with that. Let it all come out, everything."
Skye was touched by those words as she hasn't had anyone, not even Akira do that for her as she felt a mix of happiness and sadness flowing through her as she can feel tears coming from her eyes.
Tears went down to her face as she wrapped her arms around his body and placed her head on his shoulder.
Yusaku hugged her back as she continued to cry in his arms and can hear her mumbling, "Thank you... thank you."
He had a small smile on his face as he could feel her getting all of her pent up emotions coming out, but he still felt nervous.
Like is he doing everything right? Is he doing this decently? Is doing an okay job?
He wanted her to know that he truly does care for her, and he doesn't even know how until he had a small idea.
He went down to her ear and began telling her how much she means to him, Akira and to the others as well, and how much they want her to be happy, and how much he...
Well, let's just say he wasn't lying when he said liked her, but wasn't being completely truthful about his true feelings.
He even began going through her soft brown hair as a way to calm her down and tried his best to make her feel relaxed, which to his luck, it worked as she stopped crying and made her feel more safe and relaxed.
When Skye lifted her head, Yusaku could see puffy red eyes and some tears on her face which he slowly wiped off.
She had a smile on her face, "Thank you, so much, Yusaku. That... that really meant a lot to me." She said slowly as Yusaku smiled at her.
"It was nothing, Skye, really. Just wanted to help you." Said Yusaku as he really wanted to help her out since she did help him with a similar situation.
"Still, I want to thank you for it, I feel much better." Said Skye as Yusaku nodded.
"Glad you do." Said Yusaku.
There was a small silence between them as Skye wanted to ask a question.
"Hey, Yusaku?"
"Yeah?" He asked.
"Can you..." she swallowed whatever was in her throat as she wanted to ask this question, "Can you hold me like this?"
Now that Yusaku realized, Yusaku was the one hugging her, so he blushed, but still answered, "Sure. Anything for you."
