The stars that scurried across the night sky were no match for you.
You burnt brighter, and your personality shone more than one star could ever.
I always felt at peace when I looked into the night sky
The air felt so blissful, enough so to make me cry.
Even when I was alone I felt you were still with me,
I keep waiting for you to come back, like a boomerang or frisbee.
People always wondered why whenever someone said your name, why I'd look down at the floor and pretend that I was okay.
Now every night when the stars come out to play,
I sit there waiting patiently for even a mention of your name,
For the stars talk to me more than anyone ever has
They tell me how you're doing and that your love still burns at-last.
I've always had this feeling that you never left my side
I prayed and prayed you'd come back, that night you took your life.
Now all I have are the stars since you could face no more,
I shed tear after tear hoping one day a knock will come at my door,
And that I will open that door and before me you will stand.
But for now you're just my star
In the sky but never on land.
Every night I sit outside let the winter air take me under, giving me a brief glimpse of hope and a curious sense of wonder.
A wonder if we will ever meet again, maybe one day or another,
But as of today your still my star
And I miss you,

Big brother.
