Immuned (Fictional Zombie Apolcalypse Story)

Bitten

Lahat sa loob ng school ay nagpapanic na. They know they're safe, but they also know it's not for too long. The comfort they have right is temporary, for what's ahead is unknown. Most of them are now developing trust issues: some are too scared to trust anyone, some are afraid that there could be someone in the school hiding bite marks, and some are ready to kill anyone just to survive. But Jake's not afraid. There's something else inside his broken heart right now. He's devastated because he lost the person he loved the most, her beloved mother.

Tumabi ulit si Merry kay Jake na hanggang sa ngayon ay umiiyak pa. He still can't believe that her mother is now gone. "I wish I was there to protect her" he said as he turn his head towards her. Nagpakita ng pakikiramay si Merry sa pamamagitan paghaplos ng kanyang likod. Ngunit alam ni Jake na walang silbi ang pag iyak nya dahil mas kailangan nya ngayon ang makaligtas. Other than being surrounded by hostile mobs, their resources are now also limited which makes their situation much harder.

Students in the school decided it would be best for them to search for materials that could help them inside the classroom. A science teacher, Mr.Bridge suggested that some students follow him.

"We need to go to the laboratory" sabi nya habang sinusubukan na humikayat ng ibang estudyante na sumunod sa kanya. Napatanong naman si Jake. "Why?!"

"Tutulungan nyo ako na gumawa ng improvised bomb" tugon nya. Sa tingin kasi ni sir Bridge ay makakatulong ito para mabawasan ang bilang ng mga zombies na naglalakad sa labas ng kanilang eskwela.

Mr. Bridge pointed to Merry. "Ikaw Merry, sumama ka sa akin. I could use you" sambit nya. Nagtataka lang ako kasi iba ang tingin nya kay Merry. Lalaki din ako. I know how men looks at women when they want to do something evil to them. Parang may iba din kasing ibig sabihin yung sinabi nya. His eyes are slightly squinted, he has this hidden grin in his face.

Pero baka akala ko lang yun. I don't think he'll do such thing the situation that we're in right now. I'd worry more about my survival than my lust.

But for Merry's protection, nagtaas ako ng kamay. "Ako sir. Sasama ako!"

"Sige. Search for the needed materials specifically yung mga stored toluene, sulfuric and nitric acid sa storage room ng laboratory" utos nya sa dalawa. "Na store yun for experimental purposes lang sana. Di naman natin aakalain na may mangyayari na ganito" dagdag neto habang kinakamot ang kanyang ulo. After mag usap ay lumabas na sila ng room. Ang iba naman ay nagsimula na din na gawin ang mga bagay na alam nilang makakatulong for their survival like searching for food, and other resources but since is a school, you wouldn't expect that much food unless they gain access to the cafeteria.

POV: Jake

"Ingat ka nga sa paghawak nyan! Bomba yan" sigaw ni Merry sa akin habang inaayos ko ang experimentlng gawa namin na di rin namin alam kung gagana ba talaga.

"Can you chill? I know what I'm doing" sagot ko sa kanya.

We are now on a Laboratory table with tons of chemicals in it. Some are dangerous, some aren't and some has been there for like years now. Tube glasses, beakers, flask, and we are also wearing laboratory clothes including hand gloves, and safety glasses just in case something goes wrong. Sir. Bridge, unfortunately don't have any idea how to make explosives. Eto naman kasing si Sir. Bridge magtatawag na gumawa ng explosives tas di naman pala alam.
