olivia's pov

'fuck.' i cursed, my head pounding as i tried to open my eyes. i opened and closed them a few times, squinting slightly as my eyes tried to adjust to the light coming in through the windows. i looked around the room as my eyes finally cooperated and let me see the room.

i looked around the room and noticed all the different doctors equipments laying around. 'was i in the hospital?' i wondered before i heard a steady beeping sound on my right and noticed the heart monitor. 'yep, definitely a hospital, sherlock holmes,' i chastised at myself before noticing all the wires that were hooked up to my body.

i pushed myself up, wincing as i felt pain shoot through my stomach all the way to my chest. i peeked under my hospital gown to see some bandages wrapped from that area up and my eyes widened. "what the fuck," i hoarsely whispered out as i tried to recall what had happened but was met back with a pounding headache. i grit my teeth and held my head in my hands as i felt my vision blur a little.

"you're awake," a voice called out on my right, startling me as i jumped a little. i looked up slowly as i saw a brown haired lady who's eye bags were somehow worse than mine. "sorry for scaring you, its just that... you woke up earlier than we thought you would," she apologized.

'why does she look so familiar?' i thought as i squinted my eyes at her.

"what.. what happened?" i asked her hoarsely as she passed me a glass a water. she sat beside my bed, "well, i was actually about to ask you that." she replied vaguely as i gulped my water down like my life depended on it. "let's start with some introductions before we dive into the whole thing." she said, pulling out a chart.

"i'm ieiri shoko and you're at the tokyo jujutsu high school." i stared at her, blinking for a few seconds.

"jujutsu high school?" i asked, a little confused. the words sounded so familiar but as soon as i tried to reach for that information, my head retaliated by spiking my headache. i winced a little holding my head. "how did i end up here?" i asked the brunette as she took a seat beside the bed.

"you were brought in by one of our teachers," shoko said simply as she flipped the pages of the chart. she showed no signs of elaboration as she continued to scribble down notes onto the chart as i just stared at her, feeling super awkward. "your curse energy levels are back to normal but i suggest just taking it slowly for a while. i managed to heal all your wounds except for the two broken ribs you had gotten but you should be fine tomorrow."

i stared at her, confused from the words that escaped her lips.

"sorry," i said, interupting her scribbling as she looked up at me, "whats curse energy?"

she looked at me for a few seconds, her expression unreadable before raising an eyebrow, "you don't know what curse energy is?"

i shook my head no as she continued to stare at me with a blank expression as i shifted a little uncomfortably from her gaze. she opened her mouth, about to say something before the hospital door slammed open making us both jump from the loud bang.

"shoko! how's our mysterious gir--"

a white haired man asked as he walked into the room before noticing me. he smiled, "i see that she survived and that shes's finally awake!" he said, a little too enthusiastically as i stared at him, unsure of what to make of the blindfolded male in front of me.
