"i'm starting to think you like being here, olivia." shoko deadpanned, slightly joking, slightly serious. i blankly stared at my hands as she gave me one last look over before removing her gloves.

"it's not your fault." shoko said, empathetically, "no one could've known it was going to happen."

'except i knew it... and yuji still died.' i wanted to say but i just clenched my fists in response.

after passing out from the blood loss as well as the stress yesterday, i had awoken from the nightmare of yuji falling over dead multiple times in the middle of the night. my eyes were swollen from all the crying and my whole body felt numb.

shoko sighed, giving me a pat on my head before slipping her hands into her coat pocket. "right, you're free to go. just try not to be here a fourth time in 2 weeks okay?"

she paused for a few moments, seemingly waiting for a response before i heard her let out a sigh again and walked out of the room. i heard her whisper to someone outside the room before her footsteps further receded down the hallway.

i heard heavier footsteps trudge into the room before feeling the hospital bed dip.

"hey reality queen," i glanced at the white haired man who had a small smile on his face before letting my gaze drop back to my hands.

the man sighed, "shoko tells me you haven't eaten anything since you woke up last night, nor have you said anything for that matter. did something happen during the mission?"

i didn't reply. i didn't want to admit that yujis death was my fault because if i did, it would mean that it was true. 

that he was dead.

gojo sighed once again, running a hand through his hair before standing up. "alright... i'm gonna leave now, do you need anything before i go?"

silence.

gojo turned on his heel, about to reach the door of the room, "megumi."

i looked up to see him stop walking and turn slowly to meet my gaze. "can you get me megumi please?" he stared at me through his blindfold for a while.

i half expected a joke out of him but he just flashed me a small smile, nodded and walked out the room.

not long after, i heard shuffling of footsteps outside of the room before the raven haired boy walked into the room, his hands in his pockets as he looked at me, standing beside my bed. there was a little awkward silence for a while, both of us unsure of what to say.

"hey." i said, giving him a small smile. he mirrored my expression, "hey."

"you came here fast."

"well... you called." he ran his hand through his hair, his ears a little pink at the tips.

i felt the tensions ease slightly as i watched this, a more genuine smile making its way to my face. 

"growing soft are you fushi?" i teased making the boy scoff and roll his eyes.

"don't call me that." he said, the tensions finally easing in the room as i let out a small laugh, feeling all the stress leave my body.
