"Sooooo, where were you last night?" Sapphire asked as we were at the kitchen table

"Just out on a walk" I answered

"Boring" said Kiyo while taking a bit of his food

"Was it nice?" Sapphire asked

"I guess? It was just to clear my head" I added

"Clear your head?" Kiyo asked

I sighed "its just...well... Database said something the messed with me a bit so I needed to go on a walk"

"What did he say?" Asked Sapphire

"He- he made it seem like he knew my past...like he knew my mom or something like that" I answered

"That's weird" said Kiyo "but it was most likely to mess with you during the fight"

"Exactly!" I say "e-exactly"

"You don't believe it do you?" Sapphire asked

"I- I don't know" I say putting my fork down "its...just I guess I don't know much about her other then what dad says... So it was weird hearing someone say something different about her then what I've known my whole life"

"I guess" says Kiyo

I sighed again "yeah but that doesn't matter right now"

"Yeah, other then that the mission went well!" Said Sapphire

"Yeah, dad was happy, and shocked" I say

"I mean after what you did the database, shocked all of us" said Kiyo

"Yeah, I guess...I didn't even plan to...kill someone" I admitted

"I highly doubt you did" said Sapphire

"Yeah...lets move on" I say

"Alright" Kiyo says, stuffing his face

"Um... how was your walk?" Sapphire asked

"You already asked this" I told them

"Like see anything cool?" They added

"Um...I saw people walking around?" I say, lying? Well it's not fully a lie I did see someone on a walk

"Damn, still boring" Kiyo added into the talk

"Wow, what did you do last night?" I asked

"Sleep" he says

"Okay" I sighed

"You aren't going to win against him" Sapphire says

"Trust me, I know" I say

"Artemis" I look to the head of the table

"Dad?" I asked

"Thought you all were in your room" he laughed

"Oh?" I say

"Kiyo woke up early today, for once" Sapphire says

"I see" dad says "sadly we are going to need to move the table as I need to get into the lab"

"We should really have the table somewhere else to make ghis easier" Kiyo says picking up his plate

"Plan to, just need to find a good spot, or a smaller table" He says

We all moved our plates and helped dad move the table so we could open the floor board

Dad then looked at me before he was about to go downstairs "right, Artemis your coming with"

"Right, I'll be right there" I tell him

He nodded his head and started to walk downstairs

Sapphire sighed "something wrong?" I asked them

"Just these experiments always get in the way of us having fun or planning, we have to change everything since, you need to rest after, not saying it's your fault but it's been happening for so long" Sapphire explained

"I get that" I say

"Shocked he isn't done yet" Kiyo says "you have been doing this since you were a kid"

"You guys get tested on too" I say

"Yeah on a experiment from us being kids and plus we don't do it every other day" Kiyo says

I sigh "guys it's fine"

"Yeah..." Says Sapphire

"Trust me it is" I say "my dad would never hurt me"

I then turn around and start to head downstairs and look for the room that my dad went into

"Dad?" I called out

"Third room on the left!" I heard him shout back

I turned to the left and made my way down the hall and into the room to get the tests amd stuff started and over with
