"Oh there you are arti" I looked out onto my balcony

He carefully came in and his full white hair went to black and white

"Hey Shino" He says

"What to come sit down on the couch?" I asked

He smiled "sure"

The two of us went and sat down

"So what's up?" I asked

He let out a big long sigh "so much"

"Wanna talk about it?" I asked

"Its... it's weird, just all the pressure my dad has been putting on me" he says "but I mean I get why and stuff"

"He hasn't done anything to you right?" I asked putting a hand on his shoulder

"Just a slap, nothing out of the ordinary" he says

"That's bad" I say

"I..I don't know" he says "my dad loves me and would never hurt me, what he does he does out of love and to protect me"

"Is that what he tells you?" I asked

"I mean yeah? He lets me know, if he wasn't for him I don't know where I would be" I say

"What about your mom?" I askes

"I...I don't know with her it's weird" he says

"How so?" I asked

"My dad always talks about how she was a bad person who tried to hurt me and he killed her to protect me, and I've known that all my life but whenever he says it feels wrong, then database talked about her but in a way that made her seem kind" he says "I don't know what to think about her when I know nothing about her"

"Well what feels right?" I asked

"I-I don't know, I trust my dad but then my gut about my mom says different, and I was like a toddler or something when she died so I know nothing about her" he confessed "So I don't know who to believe"

"You killed database due to what he said about your mom right?" I asked

"My dad wanted me to do something that ment business" he says

"He implied it" he pjt his fist into his palm "if you get what I'm saying"

"He wanted you to kill someone" I said and arti nodded

"I had a knife... database was right that when everything in my head was like spinning with these conflicting stories and...and I...took my anger out on him... something I really shouldn't have done" he says

"I knew you didn't want to" I said "when I asked if you regretted it, you stuttered on your answer"

"It's something I wish I could take back" he says

"So you trust your dad?" I asked

"I mean...I feel like that answered is iffy" he says "trust and loving him are 50/50 it's hard to say yes but hard to say no, I mean he is my dad, he has cared for me my whole life, he's protected me and loved me and keeps me safe"

"But he hurts you, he controls you" I say

"I...I..." He sighs and leans onto my shoulder

He put his arms around my waist and laid his head into my chest

"He is a hard case to deal with, my mind my emotions my feels all say different things about him" he says then looks up at me "I'm just glad I can talk to someone about it, I mean of course I have Kiyo and Sapphire but it's nice to have someone else, you know?"

I just nodded, feeling my face kinda heat up

He sighed "I wish things were easier"

I put my arm onto his back, my hand holding his shoulder

"Yeah" I say

He closed his eyes "mhm"

"Arti?" I called out

He just laided their, his chest going in and out as he breathed

I slowly closed my eyes, feeling my head fall a bit as I slowly went to sleep

*Ring ring" I sighed as I picked up my phone "yes?"

"Your son" the person said

"What about him?" I asked

"I followed him like you said" says the person "he went to monarch academy"

"Did you go in?" I asked

"Yes, of course" they said

"And?" I asked

"I believe he has some kind of relationship with a student" they said "as I saw the two meet up, though I couldn't stay long as there was a teacher patrolling"

"So you just saw him go into a dorm?" I asked

"Yes" they said "after that I had to leave"

I looked over to my notebook, sliding it over, the name Shino written on the page

"I'll give you your moneg when you come by" I said and hung up
