Ishan, with swift steps, made his way towards the reception, his head concealed under a hood, avoiding any encounters with his team members. Because he can't deal with more torture now.All he wants is to retreat to his room, gather his belongings, and if only there was a way to magically teleport back to the country, he would seize that opportunity.
Today was just one of those days for Ishan. It felt like bad luck was following him around like a shadow. Just when he thought he could escape, fate had a different plan. As soon as he took his first step towards the reception, he bumped right into his captain, Ashish bhai! Can you believe it? It's like the universe was playing a prank on poor Ishan.
With a spark of anger flickering in his eyes and a domineering facial expression, Ashish bhai confronted Ishan, "Do you think I'm that naive to believe in all your bullshits? Tell me, Ishan, where were you? Why didn't you pick my calls?" The skipper's voice echoed harshly, leaving Ishan taken aback by the intensity of his captain's words. It seemed like a storm was brewing between them. The tension in the air was palpable.
Ishan stood frozen, unable to utter a single word. The captain's piercing gaze and stern expression sent a shiver down his spine. Thoughts raced through his mind like a whirlwind. "Ohh shit, what if bhai saw through my lies?" Ishan's heart pounded in his chest as he imagined the consequences. The fear of his squad finding out about last night's events gripped him tightly. The thought of becoming a laughing stock haunted his every thought. And if the media caught wind of it... oh my god, his dreams of a successful career could crumble before his eyes. His face contorted into a horrified expression, mirroring the turmoil within. It was a moment of sheer panic for Ishan.
Ashish could sense the worry in Ishan's eyes and spoke softly, "Yaar, you know I've got your back, right? Something seems off. What happened last night? Why couldn't I reach you on your phone?" His voice filled with genuine concern as he waited for Ishan to open up, ready to offer his support and be there for his peer.
Ishan met his captain's softened gaze and mustered up the courage to speak, "Bhai, I'm really sorry. I promise you, I won't make the same mistake again in the future." His voice carried a convincing tone, but internally, he berated himself for causing his captain unnecessary worry.
It was a moment of self-reflection and determination for Ishan as he vowed to make amends and regain his captain's trust.
Ishan replied with a smile, " bhai, I told you, I got a little too drunk last night with those girls. They were offering me some expensive stuff, bhaiya, and I couldn't resist. I lost control and had a bit too much." However, this smile lacked the usual warmth and sunshine that radiated from Ishan, though the captain didn't seem to notice.( A/n his smile ♥️)
It was a subtle indication that something deeper was bothering Ishan, hidden behind his seemingly carefree demeanor.
Ashish, with a hint of concern in his voice, said, "I hope you didn't get into any funny business there " He walked towards his room to grab the luggage bag, not even glancing at the shocked expression on Ishan's face.
The atmosphere was filled with unspoken tension, leaving Ishan to grapple with his own guilt and the weight of his actions.
Time skip ***
He managed to dodge all the squad members for the rest of the day .Here he was, sitting solo on the front seat of the team bus, with his trusty earplugs in, engrossed in his iPad. Just enjoying some peaceful alone time, heading back to the airport. Sometimes, a little solitude can be quite refreshing, right?
It's awesome that nobody really sits with him on the team bus. He was feeling grateful for that, as he doesn't have to deal with any unwanted company or answer those annoying questions about his state. Having some personal space during the ride is quite a blessing .
Out of the blue, something caught his attention. It was the ruckus happening at the back of the bus. Those guys were deep in discussion about something.
he couldn't resist his curiosity .He quickly removed the earplugs and turned his gaze towards the back of the bus, eager to find out what the topic of discussion was.
(It's always interesting to catch snippets of conversations, isn't it?)
he heard Ved's voice chiming in with a hint of jealous happiness. "You know, newly selected A-list members have to go through trials to qualify," Ved said, his tone laced with a mix of resentment and envy , directed towards ishan.
Ishan then thought what if he didn't get selected, this means he will be stuck in this stupid team for another year , which means endless bullying again .
"Hey, listen up everyone!" Rohan exclaimed, capturing the attention of the group. "Empire Highs is going to be our new sponsor this year!"
The news took everyone by surprise. One of the guys, curious and slightly confused, spoke up. "Wait, aren't they just an entertainment and tech company?"
The room fell silent for a moment as they pondered this unexpected development. It seemed like a departure from the usual sponsors they had.
Little did they know what this partnership was bringing into someone's life , who was immersed into his own thoughts of newly developed insecurity
Little did they know, this partnership was about to bring a wave of change into someone's life. Amidst the excitement, there was someone in the group who had been silently battling their own insecurities.
