It was true except for the fact ishan was not now looking forward to more interesting things, he just wants to get out of here, this whole rich snobby people thing , it was getting on his nerves and right after the wine accident he was in a self reflection of the choice he made to come at this event.
And that one sneaky looking guy with dimples who was a victim of his wine attack was really not helping the situation as well . That same guy was now the centre of attraction for everyone in the party as he got called upon the stage.
Ishan looked at that boy carefully as he had now changed his white suit alright.... ruined white suit to a stunning rhinestone blazer paired with sleek black pants and a fresh hairstyle to top it off. If earlier the white suit complimented his skin tone but this new outfit had made him look heavenly ,as if he stepped off a high fashion runway .
"So he must be some exceutive employee here to got on the stage'" ishan thought with his eyes not leaving the guy.

"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen We are absolutely thrilled to have all of you here at Empire's High. Your presence truly enlightens this grand event.Today is the day we've all been waiting for .As a powerhouse company, we are absolutely thrilled to launch the fresh and fabulous jerseys for the Indian national cricket teams, all thanks to our amazing partnership with the BCCI." The boy announced on the mic .
As the crowd became frenzy ishan couldn't help but scoff"wasn't this already on the invitation,these people really go over with their fake reactions " rolling his eyes .
"It looks like someone stepped on your tail chotu, you are really aggressive out here " Surya remarked who was sitting beside ishan and sharing the table with other famous personalities.
"I really need to tone down my voice " ishan told himself .
"Yes you need to , or it might land you in some trouble" Once again surya got him.
Before ishan could defend himself back, he heard " Ladies and gentlemen, I, Shubhman Gill' he whips his head around , but the rest go unregistered because the source of that voice was the same guy he had his one night stand with, few months back.
The short guy couldn't believe his ears, his jaw dropped to the floor when he realised that the man he was looking at, was shubhman gill, the one and only heir of Empire highs ,the richest company in the world.
Surya looks at Ishan and says, 'I get it, man. This party might not be the most happening, but seriously, don't go losing your mind over here ".
Upon hearing his senior's word ishan maintained the composure back looking at his hands on the lap, he took deep breaths ,
'you can't lose your mind over this fact ishan, get yourself together ,' ishan recited to himself and looked back at the stage once again, only to meet a pair of sparkling eyes, like a magnetic force, drawing in with their intensity. One can't help but get lost in them, wondering what thoughts and emotions they hold.
Ishan was the first to break the eye contact leaving shubhman with a glimmer of hope to dive just one more time in those ocean eyes, to explore the enigma hidden within his gaze.
Now Ishan looked everywhere except at the heir,his eyes darted around the stage, he tried to distract himself from the overwhelming thoughts by immersing himself in the Jersey launch ceremony.
When The BCCI president began speaking about the meticulous considerations made for the new jerseys, and without thinking, Ishan blurted out his concern about player comfort.
However, to his surprise, the ambiance suddenly hushed, and his voice carried to every ear in the room.
The unexpected silence left Ishan feeling exposed and vulnerable, his inner conflict and self-doubt amplified by the weight of the moment.
He felt like a deer caught in a spotlight.
"Double, double toil and trouble Fire burn, and cauldron bubble" Surya started singing lowly.
