It was Sunday and I was so nervous. This was the first time my parents were meeting Josh.
I feel really guilty for not telling them that we aren't actually dating.
It was 4 o'clock in the evening and I was getting ready for dinner. I threw on beige cargo jeans with a black long sleeve crop top. I straightened my hair and did my makeup.
Josh texted me that he was around the corner and I ran down stairs to tell my parents. My sisters were so excited to meet him.
And so was my mother. I was nervous my dad was gonna scare him away.
" He's here!" said my sisters Abby and Sara as they ran to the door.
" Hi girls nice to meet you both. Here those are for you" Josh said handing them rose. "Oh Josh how sweet of you, So nice to meet you hun" My mother said while giving Josh a hug. "Hi babe" Josh said while giving me a rose and kissing me.
Butterflies.
" Nice too meet you sir" Josh said shacking my dads hand.
My mom was still preparing dinner so My dad, Josh, Abby, Sara and I sat on the couch to watch the Miami Dolphins pay since that was my dads favorite team. Josh and my dad talked about football which made me happy that's they got along.
" Soph he's very cute" Abby whispered into my ear as I giggled.
"Dinners ready" yelled my mom.
Dinner was going so well. My parents seemed to really like Josh. I was impressed, I thought he would be quite and nervous but Josh seemed to be really open with my parents. I hope my family doesn't get too attached to him.
After dinner Josh helped my parents clear the table. " Oh darling you don't need to do that" said my mother with a smile.
" Hey why don't me and Sophia take Abby and Sara out for ice cream, would that be okay?" He asked my parents.
" Oh thats would be wonderful! Thank you Joshua" Said my mother.
We all bundled up and got in the car. Josh played some Taylor Swift because He knew that my sisters and I love her music and the whole car ride to the ice cream place we sang and laughed. My sisters really seemed to love him.
Josh payed for our ice cream which always so sweet of him.
He really really is perfect.
Once we can home my mom told us that we could go down stairs for a movie night as asked Josh if he could stay longer, which he agreed to.
My mom put on Coco since that's our family's favorite movie. Josh had his arm around me the whole time. Even when I got emotional he took care of me.
After the movie Josh had to go home. " Thank you so much for everything. The dinner was great!" He said to my parents.
" Oh hun we would love to have you over soon!" said my mother. I went out to the porch with Josh.
"I had such a good time tonight thank you for coming" I told Josh.
"Thank you for— I think we have some audience" Josh said pointing to the window to see my sisters watching us. I laughed.
All of the sudden Josh grabbed my waist, spun me around and kissed me.
We heard my sisters cheer and laugh through the window. " I'll see you tomorrow Soph" Josh said while walking to his car.
