"I'm bored with you. I'm breaking up with you.", she stated as she faced the window with an uninterested look on her face.

Her boyfriend spat out the coffee he was drinking.

"W-what....why with you say something like that now, babe?", he asked with the look of desperation plastered on his face. His ego got hurt badly.

She let out a light scoff as her hand brushed through her blonde hair. She took out a brown envelope and gave it to her boyfriend.

"Go ahead, open it.", she nodded.

The man opened the envelope to his dismay knowing that his girlfriend found out that he was cheating on her. He flipped through the pictures that were taken out of him with another woman. At a hotel, at a bar, in a restaurant.

"I wonder if you also call her babe too.", she stated.

"This is just a misunderstanding... this doesn't prove anything.", he tried to justify himself.

"Why don't you tell her that yourself.", she said as she looked behind the man.

He slowly turned around to see the girl who was in the pictures.

"You told me that you would leave her for my sake!", the woman screeched out.

"Well...I guess he's too late, I dumped him before he could.", the blonde-haired woman said to the lady as she got up to leave but the man soon grabbed her wrist.

"H-how do you know all this? I'm so sorry, maybe we can start fresh again? Is there anything I could do to make it up to you?", he bargained.

The blonde-haired woman smiled at him before grabbing his hand and twisting it with her free hand.

"No thank you. Like I said before, you're a boring person. But...if you do want to make it up to me...you can pay for the meals.", she stated as she pushed him away. "Oh...and you should know...in my line of work, it requires me to be aware of liars and cheats.", she stated before leaving the restaurant.

"Wait! Scarlett! Don't leave! I- I can explain!", the man got up immediately but the woman he had cheated with held him back.

Scarlett turned back and laughed at how they continued to embarrass themselves as the lady began to yell at him. She suddenly bumped into something hard.

"Damn it...", she held her head in her hand as her head began to hurt, she didn't have much time to linger around the area as she was on a job. Scarlett quickly apologized and left with her head down.

"SCARLETT!!!", her boss yelled.

"Yes sir!", she jumped out from her seat quickly.

"In my office, now.", her boss stormed off.

Her co-workers looked at her confused as to what she had done to make her boss so angry. One, Scarlett was one of the best journalists and photographers in the city. Three, she always had the best leads and sources.

Scarlett closed the door behind her and secretly crossed her fingers. She was surprised to suddenly see her boss smiling.

"Why don't you take a seat, Scar?", Clarence suggested.

"As you wish sir.", Scarlett gave him a tight-lipped smile and sat down knowing that he called her that nickname to annoy her more.

"What the hell is this?", Clarence asked as he threw her portfolio on his desk.

'A Griffin mystery that is yet to unfold...Where was the son Blaze Griffin all along and does the family secretly smuggle blood wine?'

Scarlett looked at the heading of her text.

"Is this some kind of joke to you? We are not writing writing fairytale stories! We report the truth!", he exclaimed.

"But sir, these are extremely good leads, if you could just give me more time I could find the evidence and prove it all to-"

"There is no such thing as enough time in this world, I gave you two weeks already to find me a good story! If you're so determined to get a story on the Griffin family, go to the interview that the son is having today. I don't want to ever see you here again unless you have solid evidence by Griffin's own words. Stop depending on your leads, not everything is right."

"Okay...", Scarlett huffed out.

"I'll see what I can do sir."
