Scarlett's POV
I sat in the passenger seat with my arms crossed over my chest and looking out the window with a million thoughts racing in my head. It has been ten minutes that we have spent in dead silence. If he has my powers...and I have different powers, does this mean that I have his powers? Wait- this might mean that my story was right. Hypothetically speaking, if my story was true, that means that Blaze could be a vampire who is unaware about The Blood Wine, which means that his parents might have been involved in it, which means that he is innocent according to the way that he froze up before drinking that glass of water at the press conference. This could also mean that I have his powers as a vampire. Oh my gosh! What if I start thirsting after blood-
I was snapped out of my thoughts as the car came to a sudden halt.
"We're here.", Blaze stated in a monotone voice before exiting his sports car.
I scoffed as he knew that he did that on purpose, luckily I had my seatbelt on. As soon as I got out of the car, my jaw instantly dropped in awe.
"You rather close your mouth before a fly goes in it."Blaze whispered softly in my ear which made him earn a punch to his stomach before I could walk up the stairs.
"You punched like a girl.", Blaze said.
"Thank you for calling out on my feminine side.", I said as I winked at him.
We entered the house and began walking down the empty hallways that held not one single picture of Blaze with his family. I frowned in confusion. Why would Alex give his son the company to hold if they don't seem close?
"I thought you'd always live in the mansion with your family, why do you live here, if you don't mind me asking.", I questioned.
"I have my reasons.", Blaze answered.
We finally reached the office and he closed the door behind him. He pulled out a seat for me while he leaned on the edge of his desk next to me.
"You have questions. I will answer, but first I just need to find out one thing.", Blaze said.
"What is that?", I asked as I leaned back into the seat.
"Do you remember any events of the night in the alley.", he asked me.I kept quiet as I frowned...I only thought that the night in the alley was a dream.
"I thought it was just a dream...", I muttered under my breath.
"I don't remember anything about being in that alley, no matter how many times I've watched the camera footage.", Blaze said. "Anyways, the questions that you ask me at this moment are off the record because we need to figure out what is going on. And my family is not easy going when it comes to telling our secrets. Is that understood?"
I nodded.
"Words, Scar. Words.", Blaze stated. No matter how many times I said I hated that nickname and told him or anyone not to call me that, it sounds different coming out from his mouth. Like butterflies in my stomach...
"I understand Mr Griffin."
"Don't call me that, you can call me Blaze.", he said.
"Okay. First of all, who was the lady that night? How do you two know each other? Why do you have my powers? Why do I have different powers? And are you a vampire?"I asked all in one breath, I carefully watched his facial expression as I asked the last question. His eyes widened and his jaws clenched.
"The lady...she was my ex-girlfriend. It seems like you and I swapped powers that night. DO you ever feel a sudden adrenaline rush? A thirst? A hunger for power? Or incredibly strong? Senses heightened or even reading minds?"He asked.
Not so fast.
"Answer my last question first.", I demanded.
Blaze let out a sigh as he ran his hand through his hair.
"Yes, I am."
