Keegan shows up with Konig. When I didn't answer the door, Konig kicks the door down. When they enter, I'm curled up on the floor crying. "Was ist passiert?" Konig asks me and picks me up, pulling me into a hug. (Translation: What happened?)
"Er liebt mich nicht mehr." I sob. Keegan sighs. (Translation: He doesn't love me anymore.)
"I'm sorry," Keegan says and rubs my back. I shake my head and continue to sob in Konig's arms. When someone enters the bathroom, Keegan yells at them to get out. And of course, they leave. Konig holds me tighter, offering silent comfort as Keegan remains by our side. I struggle to regain composure, wiping away tears with the back of my hand. Keegan, with a somber expression, speaks softly, "We're here for you, Star. Whatever you need."
Konig pulls back slightly to look at me, his eyes filled with concern. "Du bist nicht allein." he reassures me. (Translation: You are not alone.)
As I sit up, Keegan hands me a tissue, offering a supportive smile. "Sometimes things fall apart so better things can fall together," he says, quoting Marilyn Monroe. I nod, appreciating the sentiment, and take a deep breath.
"Wait, you know Marilyn Monroe?" I ask, a bit startled. I wasn't expecting that. He smiles beneath his mask and nods.
"I may act dumb and slow, but I do know a few things." He says. I smile and shake my head. "What?"
"It's weird that you know who Marilyn Monroe is." I say. Konig stands up.
"Ich stimme zu." Konig says. (Translation: I agree.)
"Oh well fuck you both." He says with a slight laugh. Maybe things can work out without Ghost.
We decide to stop at the store to grab snacks and drinks so we can have a movie night. Well, movie afternoon. After we get home from the store, I change out of my dress and take a quick shower. Afterward, I change into a pair of silk butterfly pajamas.
When I walk back downstairs, Keegan is sitting on the couch. I look around for Konig but can't find him anywhere. "He thought it would be a good idea for us to have the movie night alone." Keegan says. I look at him and raise an eyebrow.
"He's going to talk to Ghost, isn't he?" I ask and sit next to him. He nods. I sigh. "Why?"
"He wants to know why Ghost would just act like that." He says. "Why he would hurt you." I nod.
"Alright," I say. "Let's just watch this movie. I don't really want to think about it."

Both Konig and Keegan decided it would be a good idea for me to spend the night alone. Why? I couldn't tell you. They aren't the best at comforting so maybe it was just awkward for them. I lay in bed staring at the ceiling when I hear a creak from downstairs. I sit up and grab my gun from under my pillow. What? A girl's gotta protect herself. I quietly get up and tip-toe to my closed door, careful to not make a sound. Another creak, this time a bit farther. It sounds like whoever it is is in my kitchen. I take this time to quietly walk out of my room and to the top of the stairs.
A small ray a light peaks in from the kitchen. I can't see who it is yet. What kind of intruder would turn on the light? I tighten my grip on my gun and switch the safety off. I take a deep breath before sneaking my way down the stairs. Once at the bottom, I peek around the corner to see a figure dressed in all black in my kitchen. Their back is to me. Too tall to be Keegan. Too short to be Konig. Can't be Ghost because of... well, earlier.
I raise my gun, pointing it at them as I step away from my hiding place. "Who are you and why are you in my house?" I ask calmly. They raise their hands but don't turn or say anything. I quietly step closer to them. "Last time I'll ask before I shoot you. Who are you? Why are you in my house?" I'm close enough where if I reach my gun out a little more, it'll touch them.
"I mean no harm love." The voice says. I lower my gun.
"Simon?" I ask. Ghost turns and looks at me, giving me a weak smile. "What the fuck?! I should've fucking shot you!" He's not wearing his mask. Wait, why isn't he wearing his mask?
"I came to apologize." He says. I shake my head.
"I don't want to hear it." I say. "Get out." As I step back to let him through, I notice something shiny in his hand.
"Star, please." He says. "Let me explain."
"What's there to explain?" I ask. "You made your choice earlier."
"I'm sorry." He says and takes a step towards me. "I really am sorry. Just let me show you how sorry I am."
"Why?" I ask. "First, why did you treat me like that? You acted like you didn't care about the girl who loves you. And yes, loves because I still do. And second, why should I let you? Especially with how you treated me." He sighs.
"I didn't know how to react when I saw you there Star." He says. "Something happened when I was gone. Something I wanted to come to terms with before saying anything or seeing you. That's why I was so distant and kept going on missions."
"But you were distant even before then." I say. "You've been distant since you rescued me from John." He nods. "You broke my heart when you came home Ghost. My heart." Tears threaten to stream down my face.
"When we got back, I was so angry with myself about what happened and not being able to help you." He says. I listen quietly as he explains. "I went to Miciute's to have a drink." Miciute's is the bar everyone hangs out at. "No one else I knew was there. It was late. Some girl recognized me from TV. I had too much to drink." I immediately know where this was going. "I'm so sorry Star. I really am."
