She walked along the cobble road, stepping in the eerily still puddles, watching her dank dress glow in the moonlight. As she walked, her heels clomped loudly on the steps of Everglen, breaking the suffocating silence and the repetition of the pitter-patter of rain drops, falling gracefully from the dark clouds up above. The stars twinkled in the reflection of Biana's glistening teal eyes. The golden doors of Everglen opened up as Biana lightly pressed on their frame. The melancholy gust of air that escaped from inside made her shiver. Something was wrong.

"Hello?" Biana called from outside, her voice bouncing off the walls, making her nervous. Silence followed, beckoning her inside. She finally decided to lightly step onto the silver, shiny floors. She peered down, looking at her sad reflection in the shine of the floor. The moon accompanied her reflection, slightly hogging the small space below her. As she continued to wander through the familiar home, silence continued to follow her. She finally reached her father's private office, yet she was hesitant to step inside. Taking a deep breath, she daintily tip-toed onto the red carpet blanketing the golden floor down below.

"Everything looks so... abandoned," Biana thought, thinking about when the last time was that she stepped foot in her dad's office. It was usually occupied by Alden, his nose deep in a scroll from the council, or a book. The glass aquarium to her left was still filled with water- oddly. She couldn't bear to look at it, keeping her gaze to the right- for fear of which animals would be floating on the surface of the water, their carcasses rotting. She rummaged through his desk, looking for the scroll.

The day before, Biana had gotten a mysterious letter from someone, by the name of Moonlark. Of course, Biana knew who this ominous character was. The letter had asked for her to find a scroll the council had delivered, just before.... before her parents went missing and she decided to live in Enternalia. Biana found the light beige parchment that was clearly a scroll... unopened. Her breath clouded in the air, a small puff of frost. She slowly pulled the scroll out of the stack of papers, her adrenaline rushing. The red wax pulled on her lavender gloves. She gingerly opened the scroll, careful not to crinkle the delicate parchment. The writing on the inside was smudged. Biana could hardly make out the words. One sentence was clear enough, however, and it read: ℳℯℯ𝓉 𝓊𝓃𝒹ℯ𝓇 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒫𝒶𝓃𝒶𝓀ℯ𝓈 𝓌𝒾𝓉𝒽 𝒮𝓉ℯ𝓁𝓁𝒶𝓇𝓁𝓊𝓃ℯ. -𝒪 It was clear that this scroll was not from the council after all, for it would've been signed by the twelve councilors. The mysterious "O" was someone Biana had never heard of, but she knew about Stellarlune. It was a whole being of its own, starlight, magic, and wonder. A magnificent something- living in secrecy, not existing to anyone else but itself and the wonderful place it inhabited. Stellarlune was quite confusing for Biana, since her friends had just solved the never-ending mystery. It was just a fragment of memory, for all Biana knew. But now that she had the scroll, where was her trusted Moonlark?

Biana cradled the ominous scroll in her arms as she quietly exited Everglen. She quickly came to the disappointing conclusion that she had more questions than answers.

At last, she had reached the bustling city of Enternalia. Even at night, the magnificent lime green and purple gems glistened. Breathing in the fresh air, finally out of the haunting home she once knew, and reached her small apartment. To a human, this would seem as large as a small mansion, but for elves, this was quite cramped. Biana entered through her magenta gem door and kicked off her high black boots to the right side of her entry-room. Setting the scroll down carefully on her kitchen table, she headed for her bedroom, ready to make a plan for studying the scroll the next day. She creaked open her bedroom door, entering it slowly, unsuspectingly. The pink lace on her curtains swayed slightly, making her tilt her head in wonder.

"Is there someone there?" Biana asked, her voice shaking.

"Biana? Is that you?" A familiar voice replied, as the figure stepped out of the dark. He had strawberry blonde hair, his periwinkle eyes glistening in the light glow of the moon outside.
