Chapter 3- Starla

Hello again, PokéFans! Here's chapter 3, hope you enjoy! ;)

[Riley's POV]

Ree and I dash out the door, but as soon as we take one step from the lab, Dawn grabs my ear and Ree's arm, making us both yelp and fall to the ground.

The girl laughs deviously, and starts pulling us to the Pokémon Center.

I can tell that this girl really doesn't like me for some reason...

"Okay, you may think you know what you're doing, but, odds are you don't, so I'm gonna show you the hotspots of the trainer world" she states.

Called it.

"So, this is the-"

"-Pokémon Center" Ree and I cut off the girl simultaneously.

Dawn looks at us, then just pouts and throws us forwards, exclaiming, "Fine! If you're SOOO smart, then what's that slightly smaller blue building over there?"

"PokéMart" We say again.

Steam almost literally blows from Dawn's ears.

"FINE! I JUST TRYYY TO HELP, BUT NOOOO! HAVE IT YOUR WAY, 'CAUSE YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN NOW!" She rages, then storms away.

I sigh in relief, as does Ree.

The two of us get off the ground an finally start heading for Jubilife City, which is right off of Route 202.

As Ree and I start walking, I start to look through the features on the Pokédex.

There's the Summary function, which describes the way of life for particular Pokémon, and a search function that allows you to look up data on any Pokémon you have seen before or caught.

Plus, there's a whole different setting that shows the stats and battle moves of Pokémon you've caught.

I decide to sit down and look at the data for Ree, just so I can know my partner better.

"Hey, slowpoke, tired already?" Ree chimes, turning to me. I chuckle and point my black Pokédex to my Pokémon, who looks at me curiously, but doesn't question my actions.

Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. The aura that emanates from its body intensifies to alert others if it is afraid or sad a female voice comes from the black device, making mine and Ree's eyes sparkle in amazement.

"Coooool!" We say simultaneously.

The two of us look through some of Ree's stats and moves, giving me an idea.

"Doof, Doof!" A Bidoof calls, a stick in its mouth.

I smirk and shout, "Ree, use Foresight!" Ree's eyes start to glow white as he identifies the Pokémon, making the Bidoof feel uncomfortable.

It Tackles Ree, knocking him into a tree.

I gasp and take a step back. "Uh, use Quick Attack, Ree!" His eyes glow again as he does rapid zig-zags towards the small brown Pokémon, then ramming it with his elbow.

The Bidoof is sent flying, landing at the foot of a tree, unconscious.

"YEAH, NICE JOB!" I shout, pumping a fist in the air.

I turn to Ree, wondering why he's not cheering with me, but he's gone, and in his spot is a little grey Pokémon with sparkly-thingies coming from it.

I turn my attention to the direction the small Pokémon is staring, and see Ree slammed into a tall tree stump.

"Yeah, good job, Silver! Hit it with another Tackle attack!" A female voice yells from behind the grey Pokémon-thing.
