There's something about Udaipur mornings that feels magical, almost poetic. It's like the city whispers secrets through its shimmering lakes and cobblestone streets, inviting you to fall in love with it every day.

As I stand in the warmth of my little bakery, the soft sunlight streams through the pale pink lace curtains, casting whimsical patterns on the floor. My world smells like butter, sugar, and just a hint of fresh blueberries today—a smell that could chase away even the gloomiest mood.

I tie my coquette apron snugly around my waist—a blush pink one with tiny white polka dots and lace trimming because, obviously, aesthetics matter. It's not just an apron; it's a whole vibe. Behind me, the staff is busy. Aisha is piping frosting on cupcakes with the precision of a surgeon, while Meera is humming an old Lata Mangeshkar tune as she kneads dough. I take a moment to bask in the chaos, my kind of chaos.

"Kiara, the cheesecake is ready!" Aisha calls out, and I walk over to the counter.

Oh, the blueberry cheesecake looks like a masterpiece! I grab a fork and scoop a generous bite because, obviously, quality control is an essential part of the job. The creaminess melts on my tongue, and I close my eyes, humming in satisfaction.

"Perfect, as always," I say, grinning.

Aisha raises an eyebrow. "You say that every time. One day, it's going to get to your head."

"Oh, please," I wave her off. "It's not arrogance if it's true."

Just as I'm about to take another bite, my phone buzzes loudly from the corner of the counter, making me jump. I almost drop the fork, but hey, clumsiness is part of my charm.

I glance at the screen. It's Aarya, my best friend and designated partner-in-crime.

ME - What now? Did you finally break up with your toxic situationship?

Before I can even hit send, a message pops up from her. It's not a text. It's a picture. I squint at it, and my heart skips a beat, then does a full-on Bollywood-style dhamaal.

The picture is of a concert banner. My favorite human, the love of my life (okay, fine, he doesn't know I exist), VR!!, is coming to Udaipur. UDAIPUR. My city!

"No freaking way!" I yell, startling everyone in the bakery. Meera drops the dough. Aisha gives me a look like I've finally lost it.

"What's going on?" Aisha asks.
